Hi all, i've posted this on my own community forum without much success, i'm trying to order some electrical items from worten to be delivered when i arrive next week as they have some great offers on , setting up an account is easy but the final part of the process i need to put in my CIF number (required field) so no getting around , i'm a non resident so i don't have one , so far my passport and NIE number do not work .
Can anyone help .

NIE / NIF = Número de Identificación Fiscal (for individuals)
CIF = Certificado de Identificación Fiscal (for companies)
So NIE (whch is same as NIF) should be OK

I believe the NIE should comprise nine digits without any spaces. If you have a space it will almost certainly not be accepted.

But you are not doing your tax return!
Try your eight numbers and last letter without spaces

Don't use translate.
I have a account with Worten and my first 8 numbers and last letter works fine.(no spaces)
Maybe clear cookies or try another browser or open another account
Give it another go with 8 random numbers and a letter

Hi Richard, just been plowing through a spanish security contract tender and noticed the company "was incorporated on **/**/**** with CIF*********** so could be company reg number. Why Worten should require this for a consumer order I dont know.

Rich, I tried using my NIE, on my existing account, and got the same problem.
I have sent a message to Wortens asking for advice.
I will let you know the result.

RichA4...
Not trying to teach granny to suck eggs or anything but I just tried (successfully) to register with Worten. At no point was I asked to produce a CIF number, only name and email address and planned password, which prompts me to suggest this...
On the registration page, right at the top, one is
given a choice of two checkboxes, 'Particulares' or 'Empresas'.
Only Empresas, (businesses), would have a CIF number... This could be where the confusion is arising. You as an individual, online shopper ,.ie not a business, should register as 'Particulares' by ticking that box. Having filled in the required fields for forename, surname, email addy and planned password, click on 'Enviar'. Worten will, a few minutes later send an email to your given email address which requires you to click on a confirmation link contained within the text. In my case gmail sent the email to my spam folder so check there as well as your inbox.... When you click on the link in the email from Worten, you will be able to access 'Mi Cuenta'
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply foxbat, I did exactly that and registered as an individual that's no problem I have registered an account, I've just done it again with my other email to make sure, when I go into the control panel and enter Dirección de facturación por defecto(billing address) Or if I try to place tje order the cif number request is still there. Both accounts I now have are for particulares and both still request cif when I try to complete my order. Thanks Richard
