Watch out for the spam posters on forums. The Sharks are circling above Costa del Sol!
Some of the new IPTV start up's seem to be in panic mode - not only is there so many of them, but the delay to 2E is not helping them sell boxes.
We post up general satellite & TV information on a number of Spanish forums and have noticed a few post's with 'unbelievably happy' people with their IPTV - except it is a representative of the company itself, not a genuine poster.
How do we know this?
All the posters make the same mistakes, not regular users, very few posts and all posts are about the same subject. That and one made a fundamental mistake of emailing us within minutes of posting us on a forum asking for us to supply their equipment.
In terms of believing the internet & recommendations - rule of thumb: Opinions of users who have been forum members for years are far more likely to be genuine than one who has recently joined - never believe recommendations on companies websites directly (they make them up). Scour a number of forums, rather than just one for opinions.
The internet is a full of information, unfortunately it is also full of misinformation.
Next person or company who tells you with 2 meg speed you can get full HD TV is a liar or simply does not know what they are talking about as current encryption standard being supplied on boxes will simply not allow this level of compression.
Mentions of a minimum of 1 meg minimum speed are also unrealistic for IPTV with any type of stability.
