car hire Malaga airport with Europcar

Wanting to hire a car from Europcar at Malaga airport but the office says 7kms from airport do they pick you up or do you have to get a taxi which defeats the object somewhat. Would appreciate any advice thank you.

Most car hire companies are located on the Avenida Garcia Morato which is on the right at the approach to the Airport coming in from Churriana. It is only a couple of Km away from the airport and there is a courtesy bus that will take you to you Europa depot. You used to check in at the Europa desk in the airport, then taken to the car depot but that may have all changed since the modernisation - the procedure will be shown on Europa's website

At least you're not in that airport basement hell hole, we hire from a firm that has a guy holding a chalk board with our name on waiting at the arrivals exit.

I've used them many times over the years, minibus picks you up outside, takes you a few hundred yards to the collection point. Try to go for the all inclusive "full/full" all in version. Costs a bit more but weel worth it, no complications
