Looking for advice.

We are a community that has individual underground garages with a communal garage space that has no ventilation.

Some owners have converted there garages to living space and two have installed Air Con Units with the outside unit installed outside there garage in the communal garage space.

I have objected to this for two reasons one being that they are installed in a communal area and two its sets a precident for other houseowners to do the same.

If all the houseowners done this and they were run at the same time the heat would be unbearable expecially in the summer when the garage is normally the coolest part of the building the heat can not escape as there is no other ventilation other than the communal garage door opening.

Have any other houseowners done the same. did they have to seek comunity approval. were they allowed?

Look forward to your views.

Hello Sneaky

A bit of a long shot but have you raised your concern with the community authorities?

Sneaky, I doubt any EOS member will have any jurisdiction on your community wherever that might be in Spain. Do you actually use the garage yourself?crying

Are you sure that these under ground garages have no ventilation..I find this strange as cars give off carbon monoxide from the exhaust fumes ...if you consult the architect that designed the building ...I am sure they will put you right.

Sneakydea,

You need to bring this up at your AGM. Each community has different rules
