hi, I have been offered a swap from Hippodroma site to Las Brisas, Benalmadena.
Problem !!  Swap 3 bed / 2 bath grd flr. for 2 bed / 2 bath at a location that i didnt choose & have the privilege of paying an extra £66,000. Plus the fact that they have had all of my deposit & interest for the last 5 yrs! Do you trust them or is it just a way out of the situation your in? Do you really think that even what seems like a last resort will go smoothly when dealing with what we all believe to be a bunch of "£$%^&*"

Dear all,

it is not funny and, especially, it is disgusting realising someone is able to come to this forum to argue about building works in Torreblanca: "if you know the place or not", "if they are stoppped or not", "if you have recent photos of the site", "I can see the building from my room´s window and you need to take a plane to check the place"...

The fact is the promotion shows a huge delay, the buyers have not bank guarantees over amounts paid in advance (included the VAT over a mortgage they have not yet - Aifos´ and Mirador´s illegal and common way of dealing-) and the works have not honoured the building license which was granted for. These issues (between others) are the important matter in this question.

Other comments and unhelpful words regarding the situation are only a waste of time for all the purchasers.

Kind regards,

Well said Patricia. At the end of the day we all (purchasers, that is) have tens of thousands of Euros invested in nothing more than a house of cards. This whole business seems to have been supported on a lack of regulation and a serious amount of corruption. Seeing all the postings across so many blogs is only just sinking in, the scale of this problem appears enormous. I can't believe that these problems will ever be solved without major intervention from Town Councils and/or the Government.
Regards
Dave Fulton

Funny how Fazarelli has stopped posting now that he's been "outed" !!

Anyway, by way of clarification, I have to look at the Cortijo development every single day, and I can categorically say that no major construction work has taken place for well over a year. There are only a couple of cars there each day, one is the grumpy old foreman, who presumably goes to take over from the nightwatchman. The other car possibly belongs to a couple of painters. The most activity that takes place is when lorries turn up to retrieve scaffolding or materials that have been lying redundant around the place, or presumably haven't been paid for.

Dont know if it helps but a mate of mine got a refund on Hippodromo through the Bank Guarantee. Additionally I do know of someone that has swapped on Aifos development. Whether they were overall happy about the situation is a different kettle of fish but they have at least ended up with an apartment that I think they are relatively happy with. Completion has only been recent so i guess the long term proof of the pudding remains to be seen.

Thanks for everyone's comments.

Blue Marty,

I was offered a Las Brisa swap for 45000 Euros last December  (would not be ready for 3 months
and I see still isnt) . I simply  told them I was not prepared to pay 1 penny more given I had been
waiting more than 4 years for  a 4 bed 2 batch duplex on Los Conchas Hacienda Marina  which
 still has no building License,.

I think you would be throwing good money after bad unelss you could complete immediately.

I have asked Aifos Reps  a few times if there is 1 single property anwhere in Spain that is ready to
complete on immediately that they have. (Imagine asking Barrarts / Wimpey or Redrow that in the UK ?
They would give you a list of a few hundred !!) They cannot provide one.  All they want to do is  try
and get money out of you for yet another property that is not ready.

This year I think is the key for Aifos. They are trying to pressurise people to complete on developments
in Hacienda Marina that have no LFO and will  not have one for 2 or 3 months. Once people do complete
clearly they will have more cash/less debt to carry on.

It can only be the major creditors/banks who are allowing them to continue. Clearly the banks likely see
no advantage  at present in trying to call in the mafor debts of Aifos. How long thsi situation continues
is anyone's guess.     The longer the better I suppose for all of us owed  money or a property.

Hey Everyone

I finally found the forum that Fraselli is in.  thanks to John a few months ago I discovered he had called me a retard because I was helping people re Aifos HaciendaMarina.  I did report him but obviously they allowed him on on the Los conchas site.  If you all go on the Hacienda Marina a person whom I have not read about stated that Aifos has the completion licence for the first phase at Hacienda Marina  I asked him which block but he just said 120 apartments.  Yet he is urging everyone to pay immediately before Aifos goes bust.  ADVICE  see your spanish lawyer immediately.  I have the name of the lawyer who helped us get back all our money and he is based in Fuengirola.  Ofcourse every case is different and hopefully not too late but if anyone want his number please reply back to me.
Good Luck
