Mike you could always wash the pair you have - when you get over you can normally get them dry the same day so its not too inconvenient to do them a couple of times a year

And anyway you can do the spaghetti test - throw them to the ceiling, if they stick then you need a change....................

I always knew she was your alter ego - or are you hers? Anyway the same person. Now you have come out of the closet does that mean you morph the i.d.'s into one and get the combined total of posts - that means you will be Buckingham Palace or the Alhambra or something - perhaps hotel and golf complex or beach resort - or better still Puerto Banus nail bar - that would give a reason to put more posts to get off thatcategory

Zebbedee said its time for bed! Big day tomorrow and need to be at my best and God alone knows I need my beauty sleep as others will attest to - plus theres a good movie on that I wanna watch - if I thought the beauty sleep would help I would go to bed but it doesnt seem to make any difference any other night

Night night all

I just caught the tail end of the programme and it ended with the depressing words - think twice before you by on the costas unless you are in no hurry to sell !!

As someone who is just nearing completion it was not exactly music to my earshowever luckily  I am in it for the long haul and not for a quick buck.

I guess there are just too many developments.

Hi Gillian the coasts are full of property and it is without doubt a buyers market at the moment - more sellers than buyers as the innocent investor has been lured to places like Bulgaria - it was they that fuelled the phenomenal price rises  we have see over the last few years. However there are without doubt some very shrewd investors buying here - not into off plan but resales that people need to sell or just never intended completing on. They are managing to hammer out some cracking deals but security will always win out and people are still generally speaking very interested in Spain if the price is right. THere is a plethora of people that want to buy in Spain for the long term as it is where they want a home - not where they expect to make money. That said when the surplus has been taken up prices will start to rise again - it will be very unnatural to the ethos of the Spanish for prices to fall. I know it has happened here before but the overseas market was principally Brit - while they are still in the majority it is also supported by many many other nationalities as it is probably one of the most "inclusive" environments on this side of the world. Coomunities here are very diverse and different nationalities dont get ghettoed which leads for a more happy and relaxed atmosphere and generally everyone gets along. There is no doubt we are in a period of respite where prices have plateaud - I think we are likely to have a pain period of three years or so where property might prove difficult to sell - after that I am extremely bullish - hopefully it wont be the off planners back again to make a fast buck but I think controls are being put in place to prevent that. It will lead to more sustainable growth which in the long run will be good for all of us who own property here -

You have highlighted that yours is for the long term and I dont think you will have any worries as long as you continue to view it that way.

Very impressed with that last post of Smiley's - what a professional and considered bit of advice, I'm sure he just put a smile back on Gillian's face.

Can't wait to read his opinion about the other of tonight's shows on the Costas!
