What do you do on a Sunday afternoon? Go for a walk with your owners….to the woods……to the beach……play in the garden……lucky you!
I have to go to school, yep that’s right school. I am trying to follow in my big brother Buddy’s pawsteps. He’s already got his ‘O’ level – Obedience and his ‘A’ level – Agility, back in the UK and I am studying for mine here in Spain. I have already got my ‘O’ level and am studying hard for my ‘A’ level at the moment.
Every Sunday afternoon we drive to the school and meet up with the other dogs and do our lessons. Most important is heelwork……
Then we have to do a sit stay on our own….which is not easy as the ground is really hard on your bum.

Then a down stay, which is a bit easier as we get to have a little snooze while the owners walk around in the sun.

Then a stand stay, which is the hardest as it is so easy for us to run off and chase after our owners!

We have to learn to be sociable with each other. This entails walking past each other, eyes front and no sniffing or nipping. This is tricky as I always want to give my friend Ben as kiss as he goes past.
And we have to learn how to retrieve an item thrown by our owners and bring it back to them. This is usually a wooden dumbbell, which is dead boring, I prefer a cuddly toy or a ball…….. much more fun.
Once your have mastered all the above to the Headmaster's (Roy) satisfaction you will get your ‘O’ level certificate and if you come top of the class you get a trophy.
Once you pass your ‘O’ level then you can progress onto the ‘A’ level course, which is much harder.
So when you are paddling in the sea, running through the grass, or playing ball in the back yard, think of me sitting/standing/lying in the hot sun studying hard!!
