I heard that some childish idiot threw firecrackers at his door when they heard.Apparently he's upset a lot of people and kneecaps are useful if you want to throw firecrackers.

Ian will be very sadly missed especially by us as he became a very good friend in the 18 months we knew him. San Cayetano won't be the same without him !!!!

He was such a kind, generous person & would have helped anyone out. Most of the jobs in our house have been done by Ian & he helped us turn it into a home with light fittings, curtain rails, pictures etc & a good old gossip over several cups of tea.

We really wish that we could be there today to attend the funeral & pay our last respects.

Our thoughts are with Leah & his family at this difficult time & hopefully everyone will treat them with the decency they truly deserve at this very sad time

We have had many emails over the last 2 days from people who are in shock & sad to hear the news

Sue & David

Likewise, Ian was a good mate to us, and looked after us especially during the first few weeks after we had completed on our property - when we most needed the help. He helped us turn the place into a home, and his local knowledge and general know-how was invaluable to us on many occasions after that.

When we came over at New Year he made sure we were included in all the celebrations that were going on and weren't left out.

UInfortunately we couldnt make the funeral to express our condolences but we will miss him and his cheerful presence around the place. San Cayetano is definitely a poorer place without him.

Les & Frances.
