hi all we have our apartment for rent so you can do your snagging and signing.we are in jardin 13 and is fully furnished and ready to help you all. please email me for times and dates and cost.I can send you pictures of it if you like but be quick as people are now starting to sign and snag, pictures can be seen in photos under, jardines de alhama 11 august .

Hi,  Photos are great! We are also in Jardin 13, ours won't be furnished till end of October but it is handy to know as we hope to have friend join us on holiday in the future. We will no doubt  be in touch in the future to see about availability.  Just as a matter of opinion; I am guessing Polaris furnished your flat, if so did they do a good job? Would be good to get some feed back as we found there service not very good  in the shop and we that made us decide against them.  I am also curious, do you have a tv provider?

yes polaris world did furnish our place and they were excellent.we ordered over the internet,we had a package and they delivered and installed it and we were still in the uk.nothing has been no trouble for them they have been excellent.
we dealt with a guy called jose manuel .if you need anything further from polarisworld homestyle mention our name "harrington 1356" and jose will help you and he gives a good discount.
we bought our tv in mazarron town centre from electrodomesticos (avda doctor meca 9), 26 inch lcd tv,dvd and cd player/radio for the terrace 719 euros in total.make sure you ask for a discount the old lady who owns it is very good.
we stayed for one month and we had no stress whatsoever,everything went so smoothly we were amazed.the only thing we need to do now is have the canopy fitted and blinds on the roof which we have again left to jose manuel.polarisworld is very professional and if we wanted something done it wasnt manyana.
we had a great time and anticipate going back asap.just to let you know also the shop is open on the complex and the coffee bar/snack bar will be open in the next couple of weeks.

That's great, it's always good to hear positive feedback. We went to the Polaris furniture shop when we were there last month, but finally we chose Murcia Furniture on price.

I see your TV was working, I was wondering how you got a signal as we've read on other threads that Polaris won't have the TV and phone connections up and running for another 6-12 months?

the tv was for the spanish network already up and running we had 40 channels and  it helped our spanish!!!!
sometimes you had the odd film in english subtitled in spanish which was comical.
we also brought several dvds from home for the boys to keep them entertained.

Hi Pauline,

The Polaris tv issue is for satellite - not expected for 6 months or so.  TVs will still work, either for analogue or digital services, based on the local signals.  You really need digital, either through a digi box (around €30) or built into the tv.  If you have that, all you do is plug it in and it should find about 25 - 30 channels.  All are Spanish, but some programmes have an English language option.

We're next door to you and looking at your pictures (it looks great!) has made me very jealous as it's still about 5 weeks until we go over and I can't wait to get it all decked out. We've got the same sofa from Polaris, have now had our lights fitted and have order a fridge and washing machine but that's all we have at the moment so lots to do when we are over next month.

 we were sorry to have missed you.we really wanted to meet with you and jim.the neighbours the other side to us are nice and from yorkshire also. tolerton nr york,harold and jill.we had such a giggle when we met them,they are in their 60s. it was lovely having drinks till late at night.the views over the mountains at the back are to die for at sunset.
we saw your sofa arrive and you have got the same lights as us but ours are in the black to match the stair ones.it was so hot when we went and the temp got to 43.we stayed a month with the boys and they loved it.i think we have got the best spot of all the gardens and the best maintained garden,it looks fantastic.we said its the best move weve ever made buying there.we are hopefully going back in the hols in october.i know youll love it .take care,marina and paul.

Just one more question, how can you pick up the signal, would an indoor arial suffice?

is anyone looking for a place to stay while snagging/signing  takes place as i will be renting out my property on jardines at a subsidised price till may 2009.regards george
