World Cup Fever!!

My second guarantee has just come through, better late than never ( 4 months late). Unfortunately it only lasts until the end of May, so if everything isn't done and dusted we'll have to get them extended. Does anyone know how long they should last?  should they last until the habitation licence has been granted and we've signed?

I don't know what phase you are on but our bank guarantee also runs out in May, however Corvera wrote to us in Sept 08 with the option to extend until Jan 2010 - 18 months from the granting of our building licence for phase 2, see extract from letter below.

Mind you we still do not have the new guarantee due to our solicitor not sending the original back to corvera until mid Jan despite the fact that we completed the form and forwarded to our solicitor in Sept , followed by numerous emailed requests to her requesting an updated on the situation.

We wish to inform you that the Building Licence granted by Murcia Council is in our possession, with regard to your property at Corvera Golf
& Country Club, identified in your sales contract as code ........................................ A duplicate extract of the Licence is
attached in Annex I of this letter and a full version of this is available at Customer Service Department (next to our sales offices) should you be
interested.
By virtue of the said contract; the date set for handover of the property is 18 months following receipt of the licence. Therefore, the latest date on
which your property may be handed over to you is January 2010. However we would like to inform you that we expect the properties to be completed
before this date. Our estimated completion date for the building works is December 2009.
In addition, and in view of the fact that some of the bank guarantees in your possession, for the amounts contributed, are nearing their expiration
date, we propose bringing the said guarantees into line with the contractual deadline of 18 months following receipt of licence, with the
intention of continuing to ensure maximum guarantee and security as regards monies contributed to date for the purchase of your property. In
order to do so, we offer you various alternatives, allowing you to choose the most convenient and secure option provided. We ask you to please
send the signed document in Annex II attached to this letter, marking your chosen method, so that our staff can contact you to proceed as indicated.Corvera, 25th of September 2008
