Anyone considering pulling out?

 Has anybody had their legal fees and interest returned yet? We had an email stating things had been agreed but the courts still need to rubber stamp things - that was about a month ago. This has now been over 2 years for this money to be returned and 3 1/2 years since we activated our bank guarantee!

Does anyone know if anybody did stay in and buy at The Village (Flaminios)?

I had the same email from Laxland saying tha things needed rubber stamping. I followed this up a few days ago and was told that there is still some processes to take place before it is all settled.

This is a bit of amarthon exercise, but at least it seems to be progressing. I'll be interested to see what the fees are.

God to hear that people are still connecting on this.

Months and months of excuses,and the courts close for the whole of august next week. If lexland are doing the work for you there seemed to be some encourageing e-mails when jennifer was on the case,but now they have assigned someone else,they are very brief.That with the state of the spanish economy,the banks and the insurance companies will probably go broke,and we wont see a penny.Still we live in hope

Still no news on our costs and interest payments. In four months this will be the 3rd year anniversary since we decided to get our money back.

People have lost so much money on developers in Spain going bust. I am at least grateful we had some good legal protection from Lexland. But the Spanish system is so slow it is enough to put anyone off buying property in Spain - and we love the country. Ridiculous and very frustrating. Unless we win the lottery we would never buy there again.

This time last year Lexland advised us they hoped this would be settled before the end of the year - and here we are again!

I agree totally. The system is so slow it start to raise suspicion as to what is going on!  I have other Spanish solicitors telling me we should have been paid right now.

Is anyone else waiting. It woudl be interesting to know how many of use are having to wait all this time and are being told the same things..

Yes I am on the same boat, 3 years down the line and still waiting. only good thing is if there is a settlement there will be interest paid on the money due and this I believe is 3% above the Spanish base rate.

Hopefully this will be tied up by the turn of the year but don't hold your breath!

 Has anyone that didn't use Lexland had their costs and interest back?

I have recently been trying to extract some information from Lexland about their expectations regarding timescale and settlement amounts without much success, does anyone know what the current situation is and has anyone had their interest and costs refunded?

I am intending to go out and arrange a head to head with Lexland to try and resolve this and a few of their clients have already been in touch with me, if there are any issues that you would like me to raise, I am more than willing to put these to Lexland.

Anyone with points that are brief can post a reply here and I will do my utmost to respond.

I have received only  part of what i expected. I was told that the other party contested the other part, and won. This is despite the fact I was intiialy awared both parts by the judge.

For 4months I have been trying to get an explanation as to what happened to this other part of the payment (legal interest and costs).

My requests have simply being ignored and I am now prepared to take the legal steps and complaint procedure steps against lexland .

Further to my earlier post, I have now arranged a meeting with Lexland on the 18th April 2013. It is my intention to get as many answers to clear up the uncertainty that is prevelant in this Law suit against Banco Vitalico, As there may be a few others out there with their own issues I am willing to raise as many points as possible in the timeframe allowed.

There are a number of us who are in the same boat and have decided to band together to try and push this to it's conclusion; so anyone wishing to join us will be more than welcome.

I am paying for this trip from my own funds  as this was in my plans for some time. Hopefully things will be cleared up during my visit but I personally have my doubts but here's living in hope. Anyone with any information that could assist me can contact me through this thread, the more insight I have of the situation the better.

In the meantime I will do my utmost to keep everyone informed of any further devolopments

Hi I'm looking for some help, as we are hitting obstacle after obstacle with this. Has anyone had their legal costs and interest returned to them from Lexland for Valle Romano or Villa Borghese? Has anyone had on offer of interest but not costs? can you please drop me a line if you have any information / experience regarding the above.

We had intrested and costs paid to us, but the amount we received was far less than the figures stated on  our contracts, and there was only a vague explanation. Hence we are still looking into getting another legal opinion on our payment. The only reason for the delay is that I am abroad right now. As soon as I get back I will enagge with a spanish lawyer.

 I can't help feeling that something is up.

Do we know if we are going to get our costs and interest back or are lexland holding onto it for a valid reason?

We had our interest and costs returned to us at the end of 2012 after nearly 3 years in total from the start of the process. The initial deposit was returned in about a year but the rest took nearly 2 years. One thing, Lexland still deducted their own fees from our final payment - this still baffles me if we have had our costs covered by the courts... We bought at Flamini.

Not sure if anyone still checs this forum as this case is so old now and hopefully most people have got their money back!

Despite it being August 2015, I still haven't received my interest and legal costs back.

the last email I got from Lexland was May 2014 and since then they have not responded to my mails.

Can anyone confirm if they have had updates from Lexland in the last year I.e email contact or even any money!

if not, please can you pass on details of any other lawyers who have been successful in getting back interest/costs.
