Hopefully someone can help. We need a table and 6 chairs and an umbrella. We have tried the antas industrial estate and while we find 4 seated sets reasonably priced for the larger table and 2 more chairs the price increases by 300 odd euro!

We found only one set at 300 euro, ( but it looked very cheap) and the next price up was 550 euro ( and that wasnt much better.) from there the prices go up!!

I feel a little ripped off to be honest. they kept saying that aluminium was more expensive than steel and that teh furniture was "powder coated", which is why it is more expensive than the UK. When I do my research at home there are plenty of sets Band Q  wilkos argos and even Tescos that do aluminium powder coated stuff for a fraction of the price. If I could fit it in my suitcase I would!

Any Ideas anyone?
thanks in anticipation

Now that sumer has gone, you should find the prices coming down as the shops want to offload their excess stock. Can't think of anywhere myself, but will be hunting when I go out in December for any left over bargains. Have you tried to see how much it would cost to have the equipment shipped from the UK? If you send it by surface and can wait a while for it, it shouldn't be that expensive.

Try all the ferreterias, they are selling off their summer stock now, usually less than half price.  Try Lopez in Mojacar, La Redonda in Palomares, Ferreteria Juan on Mojacar Playa (Garrucha end near to Juan the butchers)

Hi Louise,
There is a good shop on the right hand side heading towards the main Roundabout in Vera. Sorry cant remember the name of it but if you cut through the back road where they are now doing the roadworks and take the right hand road instead of joining the duel carriage way up to Vera(Hopefully you will know that route and I havn't confused you). We bought Patio furniture and a parasol from there but we bought the base for the parasol from Lopez as we felt they were charging too much.

Hi Louise,
As you come off the motorway (E15/A7) at exit 534 there is a petrol station which has quite a large industrial estate behind it - the actual address is - Parque Industrial, El Real, Antas.  There are quite a few places there which sell patio furniture.  The prices are reasonable and several of them don't take a siesta.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
Best wishes,
Pauline & Noel

The shop mentioned by Brian & Maxine is on the Vera-Garrucha main road the A-1200.  It's called Muebles Flores is is owned by Cadena Flores.

They are very friendly & speak good English.  I bought my garden set there last summer.

If you are coming from the Garrucha direction to Vera, it's on the right near another shop called TRESILLOS EL CHOLLO DEL SOFA

Hi

Just felt I had to do some defending of ourselves and sorry you felt ripped off by patio sets at Antas.  Please remember that BBQ, Argos etc are very large companies, can buy in real bulk and have great bargaining power!!  Most people are impressed both with our ranges and prices, so sorry you felt this way, but cannot please everyone.

I too initially found that garden furniture in Spain was expensive, and before moving to Spain went to all the sales etc and brought patio sets, sunloungers, swing, cantelever parasol etc and had it moved out here.  Big disappointment the swing for an example is now a mess and all rusted and the fabric all discoloured, it is not made for Spain's harsh weathers.

Our products are made for the Spanish, American and Australian markets so hopefully stand up a bit better to the climate, although the sun, wind, rain and desert storms here are very cruel to everything.

Please feel free to take a look again and we welcome you anytime.
