community meeting 24th october

i am thinking of flying out from the uk to attend this, i have not been to a pp one before but on other developments i have owned property on
along the costa they are either quite lively or a real waste of time
even though i have had my appartment for 2 years or so the first time we have actually stayed was this august & again in september, i like the community
& want to see it mature so comments  feedback etc are welcome
on a seperate note has anyone been over since mid september (last time we were there) - has anything happened on the infamous hill ?

Hi, we went to our first community meeting earlier in the year.  All fired up with questions, demands wanting answers etc.  However we were very disappointed firstly  with the way the meeting was held  - considering how many people live there - only a dozen people turned up - it was very late starting - no chairs were out for anyone so everyone stood around for well over 2 hours.  Everthing was first read out in spanish and then in english which I suppose is what we should have expected.  Long conversations ensued in spanish about peoples individual problems in their block in spanish which we didn't understand and once we got through the agenda very little time was left for all our questions.  However that is no reason not to go - we are going to be out there on 24th and will attend and find out as much as we can.  As for Aifos a buyer of another Aifos development only half finished  had written to the Sunday MoneyMail 's help.  Moneymail contacted Aifos and spoke to CEO who confirmed they were in big trouble and not able to complete lots of half finished developments plus not being able to sell what they had built.  I very much doubt we will be seeing anything built there for quite some time unless they sell the land I suppose......

I've only been to one meeting, but it was interesting to get an in-sight.  

It seems that some people are too quick to criticize P60 but they are trying to manage the development without the full amount of funds (the builder is not currently paying Community Fees for the un-sold apartments - and should be).  Also, they are saddled with problems left over that should have been sorted by the builders.  These problems shouldn't have to be funded by the community, but in some cases, are having to be, otherwise they will never get done.  I understand they are or have instigated legal procedings to try and sort these problems.

The meeting we went to was in the communal room to the side of the main enterance.  There was only one or two old sun loungers to sit on.  TAKE YOUR OWN CHAIR !

Once again, we have not been informed about a community meeting, and the ones we do get told about is usually a few days before it is due to happen, therefore to late to travel from England to attend.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I am wondering if it is a bit of a tactic so they do not have to answer our questions!

Maybe if P60 gave us some sort of response to questions and dealt with some of the issues owners would not feel the need to verbally attack them!  It does appear that they have not helped themselves in the past, although things do appear to be improving slightly now!
