Do I or don't I buy now for life style or holiday????

I have noticed a couple of things on Air Conditioning on other threads, so thought I would inform you of our experience in the hope that it assists others.

When we tried our Air Conditioning it was very noisy and did not blow any cold air out.  As there were no instructions we tried what we could with no success.  In the end we had to ring the Air Conditioning company who fitted the units (we were informed that they were guarenteed for 12 months from installation, although nobody could tell us when they were installed).

The engineers turned up and had a check of the unit.  When they lifted the ceiling tiles they noticed that a whole section of the pipe was missing, therefore the air was just blowing round the ceiling, hence the noise.  They fixed the problem and it was done under the guarentee.

We did have to call them out again as the heating didn't work, and we wanted to get it checked quickly as we still don't know when the guarentee runs out.

Noticed somebody in Block 5 said their Air Con isn't working because they are on builders electricity supply.  We are still on builders supply and our Air Con is now working fine.

We have also had two problems with our airconditioning, the biggest problem was water coming through the bathroom ceiling, this was caused by the condenser drain pipe having been installed higher that the outlet so the water was no draining from the main unit in the ceiling. The second was another installation problem with a pipe having been crushed between the unit and the ceiling. The quality of installation was clearly very poor.

I believe the air con is guaranteed from 12 months from the date you had it commissioned.

We just went ahead and had it connected onto the builders supply , if we waited for the electricity company we would have lost the summer rental.

We are in Block 10 (last phase).  Has anyone been left with instructions for the air con.  It's not rocket science, but there are a few features that we are unsure of.
