I have received today a PDF copy of a collective insurance company guarantee for the first phase of OTCC which included our Tarifa [ 32 units]

It is issued by Vitalico Seguros , dated 29/05/2008 and runs from 01/01/2008 to 31/12/2009

As you would expect it is in Spanish but relatively easy to understand but I am still awaiting information from Spain to make sure that it does give us the guarantee we all want

Huma have told me that they are now arranging individual guarantees

If you want copies please get in touch

I think all of us who have taken the OTCC option do know ,as well as you can in this strange ecomomic situation ,that we will have a property to use in Spain in 2009

Building is under way and our money is insured.......and you know ....who would have thought 12 months ago that Spanish banks were safer than UK ones!!!

ACC people who have BG's should not have any problems but those without who have opted for the court route,  we all wish them well

But for those of us now at OTCC ,it is now time to start planning for 2009.....ACC is history............you never know there may be some people this time next year who will look back and wish they had made the same pragmatic decision as us

But most of the people I have been in contact with do like OTCC!!!

In Spain next week and will report on progress

Rowlandsbb,

On your website you are advertising apartments at OTCC starting at £77,734 which is 99,500 euros.

If I do not get my 17,000 pounds back through the Courts but I buy an apartment now for £60,734 in another development/town  then effectively I have not lost out.

If I buy an apartment for  under £60,734 then effectively I am going into a plus zone.

If I DO get my money back as well its a plus plus zone!

As an agent advertising on this website  ( which is not what its for) , are there any apartments ready to move in, in Almeria for £60,734 ?

Many Thanks,

As it is a sales enquiry I have replied via a PM which is more appropriate

In general as you know from the web site we do not advertise anything at the price you state

Naturally buyers are going to make offers,of which may be accepted but a drop from circa 100.000 € to 76.524 € may be just  a touch too much...but you never know!

That is not to say that there are not apartments around which you could get at your quoted price but the quality may not be that good

Anyone walking around Almeria with circa  90.000 € plus costs in their pocked will I suspect pick up something nice

Many Thanks for the reply with regards to properties at OTCC.

It is realistic of Huma to accept offers on properties at OTCC and im sure that as an agent selling them you have negotiated this for the benefit of the ACC buyers.

What is the deal at present on a GF Apartment ?

( 99,500 Euros is steep in the current market which favours buyers very strongly.)

Many Thanks again and im sure the weathers good at the moment over there.
