There seems to be a small misunderstanding in a couple of the recent emails in this thread.
The TV company that has gone out of business and been prosecuted is called Telmicro. A lot of us have switched from Telmicro to Teleast as a result. Micromesh is a local company that installs the digital boxes, previously for both the above companies, but now only for Teleast, and maintains the on-site communal dishes. They are, of course, still in business.
I just don't want anyone being sued for libel!

Reading all the posts about getting a reliable TV reception, it seems to be quite a minefield.
We are coming out next weekend to start moving in, but think we might leave the TV reception until things sort themselves out a little better, or, is it being said that Teleast is now the best way to go.
One other point does HD reception figure into any of this, or is it a case of being grateful for what reception you do get?
Regards
Dave

The problem with the TV provider was brought up at the meeting over the pool, and Taray said they did want a single provider not for any other reason but they thought the development would look better for us with out a million aerials like all the other developments and I think there reason had been made in good faith but they did not keep control and it seams to have got away from the point, they then said the development would not be one site as I think we all thought requiring one president to run all things but would be divided into small sections and when the LFO and the sections are set up and running you will be able to get together within though sections and choose your own TV provider or between you get a dish place on or at the mast and buy and then run it between your selves.
How the section are divided may be the TV ariel the properties connected to a individual ariel my indicate the sub sections?
I have seen adverts for a large ariel for sale at 1,200ero and a small box this cost depending on how many connect to the large ariel but you divided but the houses will bring the cost to a reasonable level and no monthly charge. I bet if you let it known that a large number of sections are looking for dishes and boxes they will be falling over you to set it up.

Peter,
I understand what you are saying but we live in one of the penthouses that already run off a communial ariel which was set up by Taray and each house wired to the ariel. When Micromesh installed our didi box all they did was to connect us to the communial ariel and fine tune the box. Is this not the same for the quads and other houses??

Hello sick-note
Yes and no every one has the same set up ie, we are all connected to a com. Ariel there is one in each section ,what I am saying you could dispense with the TV provider you are now using and set a different provider up between your community this would be the people that are receiving the TV signal via your com, ariel now. There would be a set up cost plus a new box but that would be it no monthly charges plus the set up costs would be divided between your community.

Sky Tv here in the UK , have gave back some of the programmes to other companies, i.e. Virgin Media . including sports channels, will this have any effect on the loss of Sky tv in parts of Spain? And what is the average price having to be paid to get the full bifta of Sky Programmes if they are available @ all.
Kevin.
