Hope someone can help us here - we are going over next week and were planning on taking cordless drill with us bought in UK (Black & Decker) to do hundreds of little jobs!
Just been told by spotty youth in Homebase that the battery wont work on Spanish voltage  - has anyone any experience on taking tools out with them - or can someone tell me where we can buy drill in Spain!!!!!!!!!!

We were going to take over a battery drill but it would have taken us over the weight limit as we were taking quite a lot of stuff over for the apt. We bought a hammer drill for 12euros from Camposol DIY shop, also paid 7 euros for the extension lead, have left it there as I will need it for small jobs in the future, for that price it is not worth carrying it over.

hi spotty homebase youth talking out of his a**se.your drill will charge up on their voltage(same as ours)you just need an adapter from uk 3-pin to spanish 2-pin,your travel adapter will do.the usa voltage is 110volts and their plugs are 2-pin flat pins.i've taken lots of power tools over and have no problem charging batteries

Hi Viv,
If you want even more assurance that your cordless drill will be fine over at CdA, I am an electrician and I know your charger and therefore drill battery will work fine out there.
