Hi Everyone,
We said we wouldn't do it but we did, we have our keys( had to get my handbag reinforced to carry them) with no Hab Cert.
Simon and I had a ball, we shopped from 8.30am till 11.00pm one night, didn't eat much as we had very little time, slept very little due to no aircon in hotel room (aircon switched off for winter), and we clocked up around 800 miles in 4 days. We have purchased everything except outdoor furniture. We did get Red Leather sofa bed, TV unit, and tall wall unit, lamp table shelfing, dinning table + 4 chairs, lighting, lamps, pillows, duvets(just incase in gets cold) kitchen goods and crockery, fridge freezer, washing machine, THE LOT and under budget. Penthouses living area can take more furniture than the jardines, so therefore will cost more to furnish. Simons not a happy man.
Simon now knows to the minute how long it takes to travel from one junction to another. He hates the RM2 + 3 as we were never off these. His conversational spanish lessons certainly helped when conversing with the locals. His driving is just the same over there as it is here, erratic, he was trying to tell the locals how to drive in their own country. Well he is a man,?
Our solicitor was late arriving at the Notaries, so we decided to do some shopping while waiting for him, but in our rush to return to the Notaries, Simon didn't notice Grampa Jim trying to beat him round the roundabout on his push bike and I had to scream at the top of my voice LOOK OUT, Simon turn his head, and swerved to avoid him but in the process didn't notice the other person on the crossing on another push bike, yes I said crossing just after the roundabout and proceeded to collide with them instead. Fortunately he had slowed to a conservative 20mph by that time and the collision was only tyre to tyre. No injuries or bumps on car but what a day.
Carol was just scrummy and Ash and Tom a delight. He gives free lessons on how to defend yourself if you ever get broken into, so now Si has no excuse to even get out of bed, he will just send me, thanks for that Tom.
Our snagging was completed by Snagitmurcia on the Friday before we flew out, and on the Wednesday when we visited our apartment there were two men in it hard at work on our snagging list and the same on the Friday. Shootie in boys.
The golf course, god help you all. When we visited and blagged our way in on the Monday the golf course was looking good. By the Friday, the tee position, green and walk way in front of block 10 had all been marked out, rolled and covered with whatever they are using. The course is very undulating to say the least but in looks fantastic. We were advised that the first 9 holes will be ready to play round about Springtime.
Penthouse Show apartment has now moved from block 10 to block 7 but was closed for maintainence the week we were there, so I had to stamp my feet, when she told us to come back next Tuesday. I was not amused. A few choice works were used like,
get to fxxx, no my husband calmly asked to speak to someone in authority, explained our situation and hey presto we were allowed in to measure up. Thank god for my lovely husband.
We laughed at every situation that arose and came back two very happy people as Carol will tell you.
We are back out in December to dress the rest of the apartment and if I can get myself a part-time job hubby has advised we will not have to rent. So i'm away to apply for some jobs now, as noone is getting in not even family, only me.
