Why do some supposed intelligent people come to Spain and think they are above the law.
There is and has been a one way system in force on this estate for some time. I have seen drivers both male and female do 3,4,5,+ point turns just to go the wrong way off the estate, what would they do if they had a accident would they admit they are in the wrong or??.
There are children on this estate they are not renown for there road sense or when you get old you do not care about them, well when they are not of you family anyway also please when on the internal road drive slower.
Remember its not sunny in jail and you will loose every thing, Spanish Hospitals are known to be one of the best in the world but there jails are quite different.

Good point and well said,we live on the main road into the estate and have noticed cars coming down the road at great speed,in BOTH directions.Its an accident just waiting to happen,especially at the sharp blind right turn by the bungalows/penthouses at the end of Calle Albricoquero.
Funnily enough it seems to be the Spanish going round the wrong way,we have even spotted the Guardia doing it at various times,strange tho as all towns in Spain are all one way orientated.

yes Pete you have my support. Weve all speeded at some point and made mistakes but now the development is busier and road markings are clear we should all make an effort to keep the development safe. Lots of children and families out on bikes etc, walkers at night, we all think it will never happen to us, well just maybe it will so take care!!!
Talking of roads had a wild dog appear head on with my car the other day..... luckily i ddnt hit it as i was going slow enough to think but jeepers it frightened the life out of me and the poor dog didnt look too chuffed either. What do you do if you hit a dog??? I personally couldnt leave it. Hit a rabbit once and cried all day!! Its heartbreaking seeing these dogs on the road.

Well you will not like the answer to your question if it is not dead and has not run away run it over again if you take it to the vet you will be presented with a hefty bit for the vets time, or the cost of putting it down and don't forget the disposal of the remains.
First make certain you don't damage your car anymore by running it over for a second time it sounds cruel but dog here are not the same as at home (UK) there is a reason the Spanish only like small dogs Rabies is around wild dog small dag are at home be careful hope your cold get better sooner that mine we both need to that the lady that we cannot say her name Yu......

I agree that this problem of people not obeying the one-way signs is really bad. We were out there for the past two weeks and had taken my stepson with us. When coming out of the gate to our bungalow, he was almost hit by a driver driving at some speed the wrong way down our street. The driver was a Brit and a permanent resident, by the way. Fortunately my stepson just managed to step back in time. The driver simply continued his way at the same speed. He never even noticed my stepson!

Either the drivers do not read this page or so arrogant that they think it does not mean them but I was considering putting their photos on the EoS would this help?

Please put the pictures of the arrogant drivers on the forum. so we can all see them. Are the signs not big enough for them? One way means one way preferably in the direction of the arrows.

They are not above the law and they are reasonable people stop them and point it out, but do we have to be like sheep it does not matter who goes the wrong way round it will be you they lock up if you kill some one and of course the G C will be with you, just don't be the one that runs into them!
