Hi all

just been looking through some comments and wanted to spread the word for those who dont know about the website above, set up by Maragret Daniels. This site is very helpful and informative. Gives you updates on everything. I am going out tommorrow to visit my place and catch up with my Dad. I look forwrad to once again seeing the changes since my last visit in June. Phones will be in within the next couple of weeks, and the mail boxes are in whcih is all good news .Only the Town Centre left to do (LOL)!
I do think 2009 will be a great year for the complex, and it will really start to grow and look habitated. keep positive guys, we run the place now, our sole goal should be to join together and get it finished to the standard we require.

As posted a few months ago on this forum...this website is THE official site of the Hacienda Riquelme Community and was setup by the HR Community Presidents and Resortalia to impart the most accurate status of issues and  information about what is happenning on the HR resort . The current website is a stop-gap measure so that at least something was available for information. A new and more functional website is planned  in the near future....watch this space!

...and for the majority who probably don't actually know who Margaret Daniels is...she is the current President of the Community at HR.

Silly question, but where are the mail boxes situated.

The Post boxes appear to be down the side of the Hacienda next to the new Childrens play area.

Hi All
I got back this morning from spending a week on site.
The post boxes are in. They are by the side of the playground to the side of the Hacienda and to the 7th Green.
The packing and wrapping was all cleared off on Friday so I'd expect them to be operation in the next week or two?

Loads of work being carried out around the course and green shoots are appearing where previously the earth was brown!

The golf course isplaying brilliantly! The greens are a lot faster than in the Summer and workmen are constantly 'doing their stuff' !

The new entrance looks good and the old one is being dismantled.

All in all I'm very happy as each time I go to site there is something good to report back on. (Yes I know that there is nothing yet to report on the Hacienda but little by little the dream is taking shape!)

 

I would just like to concur with Jeff, the site is looking better by the day, especially after a "drop" of rain brought out all the colours. We were out last week too, and I have put some pictures onto the eye on Spain photos:

Pictures dated 27th October
1) As Jeff said the brown patches are going as grass slowly appears. I think PW have reseeded these areas and buggys are not permitted on them.
2) There were a few new pools appearing while we were there!!!!
3) But the sunsets are still fantastic.
4 & 5) But 6 months after work started on the tennis courts .....progress is slow.
6) But hey so what?

Pictures dated 28th October
1&2) The Exercise machines are are working for those with energy to spare!!!
3&4) The Course is developing nicely
5) PW have dumped some sand and dug some holes in the Hacienda.
6) ....and soon we will all be able to receive our bills in our new post boxes!!

I would also comment on how many were playing the course. Some days there was a continuous flow of golfers from first thing until dusk. It appears word is getting around about what a challenge the course presents & it will only get harder as the rough matures.

Wow!! the woodhouse has become the greenhouse overnight, looks like we came back 3 days too early to benefit but a big improvement and it will make it much more enjoyable during the winter for the punters.
