NIE

Hi

I know this has probably been asked before but  please could someone inform me exactly where we go to apply in person for our NIE certificate AND is it possible to obtain it on the same day if the paperwork is in order.

We are due to complete shortly in Naranjos, Condado de Alhama and looking foward to meeting our neighbours. Also its great to here some of the positive reports on the forum, can't wait to see for myself.

Probably your best bet is to do your NIE with PW.   You should have recieved an offer from them to do it for you for €15 each.  If you havn't had this offer from them, either ring or email asking about it.  They will send the paperwork via email, you fill it in and sign it, scan and email back,  letting them know when you are available to go with them to the Notary.   On the day you meet them at PW headquaters in Balsicas, and they will take you to the notary and sort your numbers out.  It's a  very painless and quick process, this way.  Good Luck.  Whereabouts are you on Naranjos?

Will contact Polaris again. The problem is that despite booking flights for the 26th to 29th Nov Polaris say that they cannot obtain the NIE certificate during these dates and we must do so ourselves, however these are the only times we can visit this side of christmas.

I don.t see much point of making the effort unless guaranteed to obtain the document within the 3 days. If I can achieve this then I would be extremely happy.

Just a quick one.  Are you in Block 10 of the Penthouses on Los Naranjos?  If so, we'll be your future neigbours as we're in Block 1022.
