Hello everyone,
I know this has been discussed before but cannot find the original thread.
I'm thinking of have some stuff shipped over from the UK, including beds. Does anyone know if the bed sizes matter that much. I think it would be easier to by in the UK but worried that they may not be the right size and thus too big to fit the rooms.
Any advise would be appreciated.
PS I have asked this question in another thread connected with moving goods over to Spain so apologies for those who have already read this question.
Thanks
Phil

We are in Los Naranjos Jardines. Earlier threads suggested that Spanish beds were a bit smaller or larger (can't remember which). I recall someone saying that if too big a size was bought there might be problem fitting in bedside cabinets, etc
Thanks

Hi Michelle
I am working on Jardine 3 tomorrow have you a two or three bedroom apartment , and I guess that the Jardine apartments are all the same , I will take the measurements for you and let you know , I have done many shops to IKEA for people and they mostly go for a 2 Seater Sofa but will let you know tomorrow when I am putting light fittings into this apartment.

I don't know if you have read the other thread yet about the guy that moves stuff from the UK but his prices seem too good to be true.
My thoughts are that when we go over to complete, we will take measurements and make two lists, one of stuff to buy in Spain, the other from the UK. I think that it would be far easier to buy in the UK what with the language barrier , finding places that have been reccomended, etc. After all, what's the differance where you get it as long as it fits and the price is right.
If this guy that's been mentioned on the other thread is priced right, I feel that several of us can get our goods over in one job lot and spread the costs.

We bought 90cm wide single beds for both bedrooms in the 2 bed. In the 2nd bedroom we put them wall to wall(rather than window to wardrobe) and there was enough space between for a good sized chest of drawers with space between the 2nd bed and the wardrobe. There is about 1 full tile passing space between the the wall and the foot of the bed which we feel is sufficienet and doesnt look cramped.
In the main bedroom these size beds make a superkingsize when zipped together and its a narrower room so there is less space at either side, but we found narrow bedside cabinets (approx 10x10inches) and they do the job fine. Plenty of space at the end of the beds for a chest of drawers. A standard double would give more space at either side.
Our settee apparently is a 2.5 seater from Polaris and fits the window bay with about 4 inches either side.

Hi, that's good to know, trying to decide whether to go for the 80cm or 90cm single beds with zips - we have the 3 bedroom apartment, one furniture shops says 90cm the other says 80cm, anyone bought the single beds for 3 bed, and how are they fitting in?
thanks
Ann

Hi Ann,
I also have a 3 bedroom, I bought the 90cm single beds and 80cm for the box room. I have them under the window and they fit grand with a locker in the middle. I posted some photo's in Sept, I think around the 16th so you can check them out
