I  know for sure that the gt read and monitor this forum. I CANNOT SAY ON HERE HOW I KNOW BUT IT IS A FACT.  I would expect that those with interests involved through the council will know what is happening also. It is somewhat worrying that GT have lost funding and are now depending on private investment. It is equally worrying that they claim this is now under threat due to excessive delays. This is where we have a claim for damages I would suspect especially against the mayor.

No matter ours is a rolling bandwagon and we have more pledges of support --keep the pms coming folks

The director general of the Autonomous Region of Urbanism, Antonio Navarro, said yesterday that once Springboard remedy the deficiencies in its project to build 2,500 homes on the site of El Barril, his department will try to expedite the time to avoid further delays.

Navarro had a meeting yesterday with officials of Springboard, which further reported that since the autonomous region has not been re-issue any report on the possible shortcomings of the project since October last year, so the gaps that still remain blocked the urbanization have been identified by the departments of the City Council.

Navarro believes that once the deficiencies are corrected, his department would receive the document, study it and return it within a period of one month. The director general was in favor of even this month overlap with the one corresponding to the public exhibition for potential claims from neighbors and affected. Navarro did not want to come to appreciate that the municipal architect in a recent report contradicted another signed by him months earlier, although it said the weaknesses identified were not draft, but "answer technical questions perfectly remedied."

at least something is happening, I do not know what, but by the wording in the last few articles, I feel that things are going, at least, in the right direction....

I must also give honor to ourselves and GT that has the will to stay and I am sure that if they can pull this one off it shows that they have a long term committment towards building houses.

remember they could have, and they still can stop the project completely by paying back money to the customers and claiming CdR for money, but by NOT doing that it proves something and as I have said before; they prove themselves to be within the legal boundaries! and that can also be called "to be responsible"

HOWEVER

GT have something to learn regarding Public Relations for themselves so I would recommend Grupo Trampolin to employ a person that could deal with Communication towards the public and towards the customers in particular. This person should be able to handle the following things as a minimum

• Responsible for Information packages to the (non-spanish) customers
• Handling of complaints and explain difficulties
• Explaind cultural differences and help us customers to understand why it is so and so
• etc

as for today, I am (as you can se) in a positive mindset (again) I just hope it will last

The new Corvera Airport is starting to take shape.  The 300 m² passenger terminal and control tower now have a skeleton structure. What used to be fields of lemon trees, lettuces and artichokes, are now covered in a sea of concrete and building materials.  The 3km long runway has been flattened.  Over 200 builders are working on the Project.  An average 120 lorries full of concrete come in and out of the area daily.

Maybe we can fly directly to corvera Airport by the time the appartments ar finalised - then we save some travelling time Eh Eh

You are asuming GT still have available all or indeed any of the money they have received from clients. That, I think, is a very dangerous assumtion.

Maybe I'm cynical but this is a company that has behaved appallingly over the last few years. It has knowingly sold properties that are illegal (it doesn't matter what the reason is), they are still illegal at the moment.

there is still the issue of the Bank guarantees to be sorted out. At the moment all those placed with the Swiss company are worthless & those, according to GT are in the majority. If needed to be claimed, & they are not paid there is nothing that can be done about it, because this company is still not licensed to issue Bank Gurantees in Spain.

Don't give GT too much credit!

This is not the behaviour of a reputable company concerned about their customers.

The bit about the funding being lost is extremely worrying and is the most important perogative in this project going ahead or not now in my opinion. The CAM bank in spain have now denied funding for the development and its promotor due to delays.

The obvious questions are:

Firstly, where is our money??

Secondly, if the news reports are true and Martinez is suing the Council for 40 million Euros, if successfull where will the Council retrieve this money? It will have to go bankrupt, this can happen and probably will if court action is successful, but where does that leave us??

Thirdly, Who are these private investors? they would have to be a pretty big Company to fund this project!!!
