Irresponsible UK Dog owner from Jardin 5 uses Jardin 4 Swimming Pool area as dog toilet

Thanks for that Scapa, I have just e-mailed them.  I have also suggested a sign of "no animals within the confine of the swimming pool".  Another suggestion I have put forward is an enforceable fine of circa 50-100 euros, for those who do not abide the rules...

Lets see if they take note?

A warning sign is a great idea I will email to the general etc as soon as I have done this thread. I will also tele tomorrow. I think the more we harras the quicker the problem will be dealt with.

A fine is agood idea too but who will enforce it & until we form a Residents  Assoc Commitee ,I don`t think anyone would have any clout  with prople. who like this particular man  have no concideration for others.

Is there anyone out there who is strong minded enough to be our representative & tackle ( not the rugby type ) this dog owner.

I too have just e mailed the General and have voiced the same complaints as you and Kelly V

I also stated that I was worried about the spread of disease, especially when the weather gets hotter and more children use the pool and grassed areas on the Jardines.

If we all complain then surely something will have to be done!!!

I'm going out tomorrow night until Saturday

I'll keep my eyes open as I'm in Jardines 4 (358).

If I see/catch them,  I think the owner might just end up in the pool. If the dogs by itself, I'll call security and get the dog impounded - Job Done!!

I hope some of you are out there as I'm all by my tod again because my wife can't get off work at this time of year and the kids are still at school

This must be someone taking advantage of the few residents on the Jardines. We were at La Torre in the summer and saw only 1 puppy being allowed a bit of free rein and we had several walks and drives across the whole resort. in two weeks So, maybe people respect the rules when someone is there to put them forward and reinforce them, like a residents committee.

For some reason we thought pet ownership was restricted on the Condado resort- though I dont know where we got that from. Once again its likely to be something we were told by 'someone' early on. 

As a fellow Jardin 4 owner I too am sickened by this.  I think all the other posts sum it up pretty well.

Digressing from the subject a little, what I would like to know is who is this organisation "rpmspain" that seems to be responsible for running the community of owners?  Anyone know?  PW have said nothing to us.  I have tried looking up the web address but no luck.  Anyone heard from the "General"?

They are Resort Property Management and are in charge of the community at the moment until we get our own set up. Polaris put them in charge for a max of 5 years.

They have a small office inside the customer services portacabins. You can get your post box keys from these now.

So,

There we are then - first test for the community of owners management group. Let's not get 'pooch-a-phobic' about this though, it has been one isolated incident of anti-social behaviour (probably repeated several times over though). It beggars belief how someone could intentionally shepherd (pardon the pun ) their dog into an area that will obviously be one of the main public areas of the Jardines. Maybe the guy is confused and think's it is one of those Center Parks type dog toilets !

We all have our part to pay here as the communities become more populated. I think a lot of us saw our little place in Spain partly as a way of escaping from the loutish and inconsiderate behaviour that is becoming all too common in the UK. Let's not allow this most embarrassing and infuriating trait of parts the present British population spread it's disease to our percieved place in paradise (relative) and don't be afraid to pull up or report anyone up who is blatantly ignoring the rules of common decency and respect to others.

I am wondering why Polaris have not put up signs around the swimming pool as they have done on La Torre ?. I have posted a photo of one of the signs from La Torre under the Photo Section from our stay there in September.

There are numerous symbols of what you cannot do (some quite amusing) but there is clearly a no animals symbol

There is also a ban on small children being left unaccompanied so perhaps they could also be kept on a leash at all times please !

Yes that sign is perfect. though It has been proven many times that those who have little regard for others tend to ignore signs.

I like the bit you wrote about youngsters on leads. Do they make stronger ones for teenagers ( ha ha ).

Your Idea of name & shame is a good idea too but again irrisponsible people  ive found dont realy give a dam.

Its 16.07 now & about 17.07( I think )in spain. Have not had a reply from my email to  PW`s Managing  department & doubt if I will now. However It is possible that they will have been inundated with complaints and they will deal with it before replying

Just to let you know I telephoned the management company quite late last nigt , leaving a message & my  tele number..

Just recieved a call from them to say  that Alex has been to see the lady in question 

 Has been told the Law etc .

Every one who emailed will get a reply, probably late this evening as they are experiencing problems with the internet at the moment.

Hi Folks,

I have emailed the "general" to voice my concerns as well, but I would like to point out that the owner  of the dog may or may not be British, when in France, especially Paris and up the side streets they  are littered with dog poo and the french allow their dogs to foul where ever???, so please don't asume this person is from our country, please keep an open mind until we get it sorted out.

I think naming and shaming and pinpointing the apartment responsible could be a good move but then again would this be an infringement of their so called "human rights"(worst thing we ever signed up to), surely it is our human right to be  able to walk without having to look at the ground for large brown parcels everywhere.

Just got back today, but whilst there I did notice a very unsavoury character wearing a sailors hat , taking pictures of the dogs and their poo! Dont know if these are connected?
