Hand luggage Ryanair

Hi all

Just came back Via Alicante with Ryanair. Just a note of warning - everyone who had more than one piece of luggage, this included handbags, duty free stuff etc. were stopped at the boarding gate and made to put it into one bag. If this didn't  fit in one bag and the bag didn't fit in the size tester rack, they were not allowed on the flight. Strangers were helping people by putting stuff in their bags so they could get on the plane.The air stewards were so busy carrying  this out, that they didn't take everybodies boarding cards and had to tare them off on board. The same thing was being carried out by Ryanair to other places. Fortunately we were fine, but as it's near christmas and duty free might be tempting, thought I'd let you know.

I'm not surprised, I recently flew back from Murcia with Ryan Air which took ages to board because practicually everone had hand luggage and there simply wasn't enough storage space in the cabin. Once it was full bags were taken away to be stored in the hold.

The pattern now seems to be that everyone takes hand luggage only
