As many of are aware their is no water on site the reason being that the pump is broken and the only solution is for every one to pay their 200 euro utility bill for the months of November December and January I realise that alot of people dont wish to pay but please consider the affect this has on the lives of the people who do live here imagine waking up in the morning to no water so I am requesting that everyone here in Spain and also in the UK and else where pay their money for the 3 months ensuring reconnection of the water supply. I sure many of you will ask how do we know this will resolve the situation? all we can go off is past situations and in the past every time people have paid we have continued supplies.

Many Thanks in Advance

Andy

So are Trampolin saying that the cost of a new pump just happens to equate to the total amount of outstanding €200 payments? What a coincidence!

Or, as is more likely, are they using the broken pump excuse as leverage to blackmail the residents into pressurising the non-residents who haven't paid into paying?

No body is pressurising anyone into paying what we are asking for is a little understanding the arguments as to the cost of the pump etc are of no relevance the simple facts are we have no water and to ensure supply we all need to pay residents or non-residents.

Andy,

So you're asking non-residents, who may have just completed last Summer and used their property for say 1 or 2 weeks in total, to pay the same amount as a resident who has lived on site for 2/3 years and had water and electricity free of charge for all that time?

Seems a little unfair don't you think?

A more amicable resolution would be for residents to pay a much greater share of the total monthly bill for the site - I'm sure this would result in more non-residents actually contributing and therefore actually benefit the residents.

Don't get me wrong - no-one wants to see anyone having their water supply cut-off - but property owners should only pay in proportion to what they've actually used.

Mick.

ok so when you turn over the urbanisation to the community do you think that their should be different payments for residents and non residents?

Also as to the payments at the moment the ideal solution would have been small payments for everyone from the begining but this situation has arisen and needs to be delt with and yes i understand your feeling as i own a second house here which is empty and not used but i have paid for this house also, because without everyone paying the whole thing breaks down. this will be a short term solution as very shortly we as a community will take control of the utilities and then pay for what we use individually so if everyone can make this allowance to help everyone get through this very testing time it would be greatly appreciated.

Andy,

In response to your original question - yes, I absolutely do believe that we need a payment structure in place that reflects everyone's actual usage of the utilities. How this is determined is another matter, and I think as Keith has already mentioned on another theread, this will definitely be a 'hot potato'.

Take on board your point about ID, however, as this is an open public forum that we know is monitored by our criminal friends at Grupo Trampolin, I think I have every right to request anonymity.

I think it is better to raise any valid discussion points through a pseudonym than remain as part of the silent majority that are probably too intimidated to express their opinions openly.

However, in respect, I will no longer post under this ID.

Regards.

Hi Micky

in response to that the only thing that should be individual is the utility bills after that we should all pay the same as all the facilities are available to everyone 52 weeks a year we need a certain amount of bins pro rata to the number of houses these have to be paid for each month full or not. we have to provide street lighting people here or not  If you owned a second house in the uk you would have to pay council tax in full you couldnt say I only use the facilities for 3 months of the year you have to pay.

I realise people will say that their are residents and non -residents thats true but this is by choice but one thing everyone has in common is that we are all home owners and with that goes the responsibilites of community fees and all these fees must be met equally by all home owners to try and differenciate between who is here and for how long and then try to make a payment  formula is impossible and  a recipe for disaster. When purchasing a property in Spain it should have been made clear that we all have to pay these fees here or not so the hot potatoe is quite simple legally we are all responsible to pay these fees and will have to pay them, if anyone doesnt want to pay the fees they need to sell the house asap to avoid paying them.

should anyone wish to discuss this further and dont want to elaberate on eye on spain please feel free to call me on              +34  691302922

Can I say, and it's not through lack of  trying, I have been trying to sell this house for 18 months and at a great loss too.  The reason that this house has not sold is because of the legallity (or none as the case may be) and the no escatura business and of course the builders themselves

It's been over a year now since I stepped foot in the house so if you are expecting a payment, I think not.

Now being back in the UK I have great expense here.  I have to pay water, poll tax, gas and electricity, which is fine because I use it.  If my neighbour does not pay their bill I would not be expected to pay it for them.  The chances of me paying anything for the house in Spain is nil I am afraid, all resources used up here.

Also, since May 2006  El Trampolin have been sitting on a lot of my money too, interest accruing,

Lets hope I can get rid as soon as possible.

I think Micky was refering to 'Utility' bills meaning water and electricity when he talks about paying on a usage basis.

I think everyone accepts that community fees have to met by the community, and that everyone will be liable for paying taxes to the local Council for bin emptying etc.

Hi Andy

Ref your message regarding real names.

I have asked Eye on Spain to change mine but they haven't done anything about it.

I'll post this here - I am Dogberry on this site so that you all know who I am.
