I just thought that I should provide an update from the original post as I believe that it is important when very emotive words like subsidence are mentioned and that owners interests are protected from these tyoes of comments
I did receive a PM from Nailer after I queried the architects report as follows
I have indeed had an Architects report on our property and it has been deemed unfit for living in. At the moment this report is with our Solicitors and I may make it available after I use it.
Cant believe no other property has not been affected,I must be very unlucky.
On receipt of the PM I asked on what basis the property hase been deemed unfit for living as this isn´t the normal type of wording that I would expect to see in a Spanish report as if it is subsidence it would be more likely, even in Spanish, that this would be the wording and that the buyer would have grounds for cancellation but and have not yet had any response
I agree with the summary made by MUG, that the norm is the effects of ground shrinkage and it doesn´t seem that naybody is reporting any other issues
