just received my escritura (deed sign) refund over 1000 euros

happy days.i completed in september and the deeds(escritura) are now ready for collection.i didnt use a lawyer.

Our deeds are also ready. We completed in November and did use a solicitor.  She tells us we shall have a refund but we don't know how much at this stage.

you need to contact the call centre and ask them to prepare your deeds for your next visit.they will  then arrange that and then credit your account with the refund automatically

CAM Bank have our deeds ready for collection- which may be the case for others. We completed September- no mention of refund.

Hi, we are new to the forum. We are due to complete in a few weeks after lots of hassle with our original property being delayed and having to chose a completed property a year earlier than originally expected. We have not used a lawyer, and would be grateful to hear the process you had for completing yourself, and if anyone used Polaris solicitor as Power of Attorney? Thanks for any info

if you have a mortgage your bank will supply a lawyer as they will hold the deeds.

if you dont have a mortgage polaris appoint a lawyer anyway for themselves and he will go through the escitura (deed)with you.

it is a personal choice should you need a lawyer but alot of people that buy on a complex run by a reputable company dont bother.

myself and my friends that completed without mortgages didnt use a lawyer and saved ourselves alot of money and have had no problems.

polaris will give you a copy of the deeds after signing and you can wait 4 hours plus for the original to come back or do what most do and collect it on your next visit but you need to request it.i have just recd notice that mine is ready for collection..

I paid 3300 euros for notary fees and land registry, I expected a little refund instead I have had another 100 euros taken from my account without my permission.

We paid over 9000 Euros through our solicitor but got 2000 Euros back in January.  We were told we had to pay notary, land registry etc. for purchase and mortgage.  Hope this is correct.

This sounds incredibly expensive, unless you have confused this amount with other taxes and costs also.

We are also curious about the refund mentioned. CAM tell us the deeds are ready but no mention of a refund only that we need original NIE and passport.s to collect.

Can anyone help we are coming over next week but only for a couple of days. We have no solicitor and were originally told we could hand Power of attorney to Polaris solicitor, now they seem a bit vague about this. We are really pushed for time as we are supposed to complete on 9th March and still waiting for our valuation to be done next week. Has anyone else signed over Power of attorney to someone else as my parents live in Spain and could attend completion, but as we do not have a solicitor not sure how we would go about apoointing them? THanks for any help we are finding everyones comments on this forum very helpful.

If you do not get any reply`s before he comes home I will let you know the details

We used them for the whole process and although communication was a bit limited they were fine.
