We think we know where that bar is so just say a time - We stayed in the Gardenia Park at Easter ( as per your recommendation ) and it was a really good standard and I am sure we came across this bar on one of our walks

If Lorraine and Eoin want to suggest somewhere or let us know where they are staying we can meet up aswell

Also if anyone has any ideas for other dates we are game for anything ( within reason of course ! )

Hi Mozza. Shall we say 8.30pm at the Calypso bar on the 27th of August. That way you could go for dinner beforehand. Let me know what you think. Also can you remind me nearer the time to meet up. Are you bringing your mobile with you to Spain. Will it work there. Is it the same one you sent me the texts from when you were in London, as I kept that one. Hi Gericomm99, I was hoping we would bump into our next door neighbour on this trip our next one that we have booked for 2nd to 9th October. Looks like we are going to miss you again. Let me know what future dates you have planned. Maybe as a group, those of us on the Semi-sotano ground floor, can get a good deal to extend the tiled terrace area and get rid of the overgrown weeds/grass. Have to double check first if any sort of permission is required first. If yes we should get a decision in about 5 years time.

We will meet you at the Calypso bar on 27th 8.30 that will be fine with us - It will be the same mobile that we used in London  and we will check the e.mails at one of the internet places just in case aswell - especially if anyone else has any other suggestions - Do we have any final times and place for the 29th yet Max ?

We just drow by Calypso today, and it was closed, does anybody know if it's closed for the week or ....?

some friends of ours are there inTorreblanca have told us that the owner has been complaining for some time about the 'druggy types' and that he has not been able to stop them frequenting what was considered to be a friendly, family atmosphere. They have texted us this week to say there has been a stabbing and the bar is closed, they do not know for how long.

I was in the Calypso bar when the incident happened. 2 young lads got slashed. One across the face and the other on his arm. not a nice site. Happy to say this sort of thing does not happen very often. A good friend of mine has been coming here for 20 years, and this is the first time that she has heard of something like this happening. Its a shame because the Calypso is a nice little bar.

We are going over again 29th December to the 3rd January. I would be up for the community meeting being held on the morning of the 31st december. I hope it would not go on for too long as that day is also my little boys birthday. Have you booked flights. Anyone else going over for New Year. I have been told by friends who live there that they have a great night in the square on New Years Eve, and the weather is still mild, t-shirt daytime, jumper at night.

Eoin and Lorraine, I was there waiting at Fools and Horses at 8pm last Saturday night, what happened, did you not fly over.

Sorry we did not get to meet you on Sat night, Eoin did not come over as our little boy was sick and Eoin stayed home to mind him and my friend and I went to Marbella to leroy merlin and we got caught up shoppng I forgot your number so I could not ring you I am really sorry.

We are going out on the 31st of December for a week so we also would love the meeting to be that week if possible.

We will all be there that week so we will get together then if thats ok Westport.

There is nothing to invite to, unless they are holding the community meeting when we are there. It was just a general email to everyone that we have met before to see if they are out there when we are. If you are over the same time, we would love to meet any new neighbours.

Does anyone know what has happened to Otterandy, he does not seem to post anything on the site anymore.

I have just booked flights and we will be there 26th December until 2nd January - Looking forward to as many good nights out  and get togethers as possible - It will be great to share New Year with the neighbours

Sorry that I’ve not posted for a while, things during the last 2-3 months have been a little hectic for me to say the least. It was initially my intention to move to Spain permanently and possibly to work in a sales role for Viva Estates/Andalucian Dream Homes etc.. Also I intended to bring the bulk of my joinery/building tools to Spain and offer DIY services for people at  Don Juan in my spare time.

For the last few years I've been selling fork lift trucks for a major global manufacturer in the Yorkshire area of the UK. Back in August my company offered me the opportunity to change areas and swap from looking after Yorkshire to the Middle East, India & Africa. This is a great opportunity for me, so its goodbye Spain and hello to Dubai! As From Mid November that is where I will now be based. I still intend to come out to my apartment 3-4 times per year so you don’t get rid of me that easily :-)

Anyway I completed on my apartment back on September 14th and have water and electric now connected. Also a big thanks to Max and Saskia for sorting out many of the snagging problems/cleaning etc.  This is good news for me as I am coming out to Spain this Saturday for 9 Days. So if anyone fancies a cuppa or a beer then come and knock on my door at Phase 1, block 2, Planta Baja, apartment C.

Once again sorry for not posting during the last few months, and I hope to bump into a few of my new neighbours next week.
