Saga transfer funds too

Hi we are Chris and Maureen who are buying an apartment Phase 1 Block1 3rd Floor and are visiting Fuengirola at Christmas for a week  -( We were originally told the apartment would be ready Oct 06 ) - Anyway such is life - We decided to go for the week anyway - Is anyone else there at the same time and we could meet up for some lunch or a drink - It would be great to meet up with our new neighbours. Pearce has been pointing me in the right direction to try and get acquainted with as many people as possible 

Anyway we will try to get some info and further pictures while we are there - Happy Christmas everyone 

Hi everyone

Again we have another disappointing trip to Fuengirola booked ( we are there 16th -31st August ) as completion looks highly unlikely during the next few weeks - Again we have the added expense of paying for accomodation !

We read the forum everyday and know that there are a few 'neighbours' going then - perhaps we could meet up for lunch or arrange an evening out  and drown our sorrows - maybe our local fountain of all knowledge and helpful neighbour  ( Max ) could suggest somewhere that would suit everyone - or does anyone else have any ideas

We could all wear pinocchio noses to recognise each other to represent all the untruths  we have been told for the last 12 months....................

Anyway here's to completion sometime and hopefully a meet

We are up for meeting. We are over 25th August to 5th Sept, so any date between then should be good with us. Any others over, during them dates. We have a three year old. I know Max has a three year old as well, so it may have to be a daytime meet, although our childminder will be with us from the 26th Aug to 2nd Sept, so we could probably do an evening drink between any of those dates. Max, make a suggestion and we will see if everyone is happy with the time & date, then we could private email our mobile numbers to keep in contact when over there. I know you already have ours, Maureen & Chris. I see in your previous post you put 12 months of untruths. You lucky, "RG" and ourselves have had 4 years of it. And like yourselves we have had to pay out of our own pocket for accomodation. Its a joke. I will try to get hold of one of those Pinnochio noses. Maybe Perla could get a broom stick and come as the wicked witch.

We would be interested in meeting up with our neighbours to be, we have followed the progress of Don Juan very closely, but have not commented previously. We have brought in block four first floor, we are Graham and Elaine from Stoke on Trent and will be in Fuengirola from 26th August until 29th August. We are both self employed so can only manage a few days at a time.

Thanks to the emails and phone calls addressed at me or our company I know there are lots of people reading on the forum, but not posting. Most of them are very interested, but feel they just don’t have enough to contribute to actually post here.  

Regarding Janmet’s post about the promoter and its employees: I don’t think they actually read here, but still we should not be too negative about them. They just do their job. Perla doesn't knows all the details so she can’t be held responsible. It’s a pity the management of Arrohabitatge is not as forward as we would like, but that isn’t her fault.

Just to let you know our side of the story about Perla. She told us that we could fly over to view our apartment. When we got there she was 20 minutes late. We were taken into the apartment, and ushered out the door in less than 2 minutes. I tried to measure the windows, so that we could bring curtains over on our next trip, but was told we had to leave immediately, and that this visit was just to say the apartment was ours. This is not what she told us over the phone. We had also arranged to meet a locksmith from Mijas on site, but she said there was no way he would be allowed onto the site. All we wanted to do was get a quote from him. He was waiting by Carvajal Station. We had to phone him to tell him to go away. How embarressing is that. With me measuring windows, and him checking the locks it would have taken no more than 2 or 3 minutes. So much for customer service. They have your money now so they dont give a crap. I cant remember how much them flights and hotels cost me on that wasted trip, but i am pretty sure that Perla wont be digging deep in her pocket to compensate us for it, or maybe she might be waiting for us to send her the bill for our next wasted trip that we are going over on in a few weeks time, that we booked 6 months ago thinking it would easily be completed by then, thats according to Perla anyway. We have been told a pack of lies from day 1. I will give you a few examples. On contract completion Oct 05 (dont make me laugh), a beautiful golf course beside phase 1, no mention of phases 2 or 3, a tunnel walkway for direct access to the beach, palm trees (just look at the original glossy brochure). I've heard some buyers were promised pre-installed air conditioning in phase 1, I've heard some people were promised a store room was in as part of the price. I would love to know what other lies or false promises others were told. So, I think its safe to say she wont be getting a Christmas card from us this year.

I dont think there is anyone on this site who has'nt been let down or lied to by Perla. I could tell a few stories, I dont know how much is her own doing or is she just a puppet. I just felt we should we should maybe consider that. But I can totally understand your anger and frustration as we have felt this way also. Hopefully it will be all over soon and we can start smiling because it should be a wonderful place to be.

and onto more pleasurable things................. - It looks as though a couple of meetings need to be arranged due to the toing and froing of ' neighbours ' during the last couple of weeks in August. Some are there earlier than others and we could miss each other which would be a shame

Max - what would suit you and your family best ? ? I think because you have now reached the heady heights of becoming a 5 star adosado and I know you have to work etc - your choice for lunch would be welcomed by everyone I am sure because us who can may continue for longer - ( reason being there won't be an apartment to worry about ! ) - every cloud and all that.........

Anyway as far as we are concerned you name the venue, dates and time and we will be there - and looking forward to it

Anyway back to the topic at hand. Based on the reactions so far it seems the end of August (29^th ?) would be best for most of you. Let’s wait and see if there are more reactions before settling on a time and place.

I rang Perla yesterday and made an appointment to see our apartment on the 21st at 12 noon, I am dying to see it as we have not seen it since sept last year.

Westport we would love to meet with you earlier just name the place and time  perhaps we could arrange for 27th to include ' Gande ' - Thanks for the info on apartment rentals - we have managed to book a 'just in case ' ( which really is a much needed ! ) - for a reasonable amount - so again you have helped us out. Have to say though it should not have been necessary to do that and it will be very annoying if completion takes place just after we have all gone home !

I am up for meeting on the 27th Aug. Not sure where you might know. Do you know the Calypso bar, just off the coast road (N340) roundabout on the seafront at the Carvjal/Los Boliches end. For directions come out of Don Juan and turn right onto the coast road(N340) towards Fuengirola. After about 400 metres you come to the roundabout where the Gardenia Park hotel is, on your left. Continue through this roundabout to the next one about 200 metres ahead. At this roundabout turn left. You are now facing ther sea and the Calypso bar is on the left on the corner. They usually have tables and chairs outside the bar. Let me know what you think. Ask Gande and any others. Maybe Max would like to come on this one as well. I tell you one thing Max, at this rate your going to be very overweight, very drunk and skint.
