Non Resident Certificate

Hi Everyone

Just received my Bank Statement this morning and noticed I have two debit entries of 15 Euros for Non Resident Certificate.Presumably this is for both my husband and myself but no warning as to why this is suddenly being debited to our Account.

Has anyone else had the same problem?Ok its only 30 Euros but is it a one off charge?An annual charge?Who knows!!! Yet another unidentified bill.Really annoys me that they (Presumably PW) can debit your bank account with no prior warning or no information as to why.

It was your bank not PW it is an annual charge for non resident bank accounts- ours was taken last week, we became residents this week so a week earlier ???

Hi Lynn,

This is a two yearly charge made by the bank.  By law if you have a non-resident account the bank has to confirm that you are indeed a non resident so they get this certification on your behalf.

Thanks Mick and Phil for reply.I can get off my soap box now !!!!At least for once PW are not charging us for yet another new expense.

Think problem just now is that there have been so many conflicting stories about charges etc that you immediately become paranoid if you are charged for something new.
