Has anyone had a garbled message from their Solicitor prior to completion about penthouse parking ?
We are down to complete early March and our guy has just asked as below, I know when we brought we also purchased/allocated a parking space as it was outlined on the property plan, but I dont remember that seeing anything about it in the purchase contract -I have asked them to elaborate on what this is all about !!
Anyone had a similar enquiry ??
PARKING private or not: Please confirm with Polaris, as you will have to confirm you agree with the terms of Polaris, and than confirm to us yr/agreement.

I know bays are allocated to each apartment should you only park in your own bay or any bay that is free, I ask because I have been over twice now and a mercedes slk has been left in our allocated spot seems never to move so have just taken next available place. Not a problem at the moment but when site is full this may cause problems.

Hi Mark & Kev & Duffiest
Like Kev we haven't had this problem either as a space comes with the apartment. I would assume that this is private parking for residents only, as there seems to be ample parking elsewhere. Duffiest, you might find that the car belongs to a workman, but if it doesn't dissappear soon I would be speaking to PW about it, as you said when it gets busy thats when the problems will arise and arguments start.

We have also raised this issue with Polaris as our understanding when contracting was that ground and 4th floor penthouses would be allocated the spaces 'under cover' immediately adjoining the section of the Block where they had their property with the 2 spaces opposite being for those on the 2nd and 3rd floors. As one of us has mobility problems this was particularly important to us. The numbering of the spaces is not contractual as the owners do not get a numbered space as such, only the right to use one.
Polaris legal department have said that on the Jardins they first gave nominated spaces to each property but owners complained some were too far away etc and so on the Naranjos they did not allocate and owners have again complained about having no allocated space! For the Penthouses they have left it for owners to sort it out amongst themselves as the parking space numbering bears little relevance to the location of the corresponding penthouse number.

I don't know what you have in your contracts to specify space, but they have made a ral mess of it on the jardines. I have a document from when we purchased, with all numbered spaces, when we moved in the spaces weren't marked, now they are, but totally different from the plans. It isn't a major issue for me, but i know some aren't happy, but there are no covered spaces, so not quite the same for us.

if you need a disabled spot i am sure polaris will assign you one.alternatively come to an arrangement with the other owner.
tbf to polaris i dont think we will ever have any problems parking on polaris unlike quite a few places i visit in the uk
again common sense needs to be used.

Hi George.
Can;t wait to get Angela pushing cars around town; her favorite pastime was jumpstarting jumbo jets for B A at Cardiff Airport untill her back started to playup.
