Try going to the "take-away" which is situated next to MR.UK in Mojacar which has an abundance of local delicacies on offer. Then pay a visit to the supermarket which has extremely well priced alcoholic beverages on offer...stock up.....get your best china and glassware out....set the table (don't forget the napkins!) and await the arrival of your favoured friends and neighbours!
Switch the oven to 190 degrees celsius (to reheat the food), pour a glass of your preferred poison, welcome your guests, enjoy your meal and it's accompaniements (alcohol and water..salad for the health conscious) then watch the spectacular fireworks display starting in Mojacar Pueblo through to Palomares, whilst stuffing yer' gob with grapes and copious amounts of Cava on the stroke of midnight!!!
Always walk home (presuming you are able) or partake in the transport of the areas "legal" taxi services in order that you do not witness the rare occurrence of a display of the Guardia's sense of humour.....they can't help but laugh at people who believe that they won't be checking cars and their drivers on New Years Eve!..........
Above all else, enjoy the occasion, it is a celebration of all the bad things that you have endured in the past twelve months, and all the good things which could be coming your way in the next year!!
Regards,
Lorraine Braid.
