I have just returned from a lovely holiday at my appartment.I wish to inform everyone about the excellent service i received from the only legal key holding company on Condado.I asked  them for an aluminiumn storage  box to be made for my roof  terrace .I am absolutely delighted with the standard of workmanship and the final result.

Robb is a very talanted craftsman and is able to offer a varied service turning his hand to most things, he also fitted  an extractor fan in the bathroom which i am highly delighted with and it makes such a difference.

The work was carried out in my absence.I had no worries about  the saftey of my property. Robb and Joanne are the only legal registered business  and are resident on site and offer a great service which gives me great peace of mind.I would highly recommend the company fairways .His contact tel no0034693596558.

What makes a keyholder 'legal'? And are you sure all of the other key holders that are on site are 'illegal'??

Its nice to recommend people when they're doing a great job....... and best of luck to fairways. But please take care not to imply that all of the other keyholders are illegal. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it - but its what stands out to me. My keyholder does a great job too.

I am reading this post the same way as you disneyscott & find it to be a sweeping and misleading statement.

Not sure who appointed you the font of all knowledge ke / san but you have no right to post misleading statements in this way and cast aspersions on every other keyholder on Condado. Especially as it is unlikely that you know who all of the other keyholders are.

I have posted a note to Justin to ask him to nip this in the bud before it turns into yet another bun fight that discredits a very valuable forum.

I agree it's irresponsible and perhaps even simply wrong to say there is only one legal keyholder on site.

I would however advise anyone looking for a keyholder to ensure that they're 'legal' (i.e. the business is registered and they declaring the income and paying tax and social security, as are their employees). If they're not and the Spanish Tax authorites find out they could shut the operation down leaving you in the lurch and perhaps considerably out of pocket. 

Common sense really.

I am interested to know as you have appointed yourself the promoter of this company the reason you have used a website address as your title for this thread which actually is a web address for a The Co-Operative Travel Management Company and NOTHING to do with the key holding company you are so keen to tell all about. I have done some research on the company you are trying to promote and have found a company with the same contact name and phone number who declare themselves as a “small family run business which is fully legal & registered within Spain and are working exclusively within the region of Murcia” They also say they are a Polaris World Authorized Agent and offer a full range of services including key holding, cleaning, rentals and sales. They also say they work in a lot of resorts in Murcia but strangely provide no business address. So if all the information they provide in the website is correct they don’t need someone giving out wrong information, they are very capable of contacting Justin and placing and paying for a proper advert on EOS if they wish.

People coming on the forum purely for self promotion or just to promote others is giving our area of the forum a bad name within EOS and I think this has been noted by Justin and his team. People providing lo-key recommendations within other information they post is fine but this repeated occurrence of people appearing blatantly to provide an advert for a company is underhand and transparent providing no reputable service to the company they say they are recommending or themselves.

I am not providing the proper web address for this company as I don’t know the company personally and from a personal point of view if they are PW authorized this wouldn’t be any recommendation to me RPM springs to mind, it would also not be allowed under EOS rules. This is the one and only comment I will make on this thread.

Just to point out that I believe website address on the thread title is incorrect. It redirects you to the Co-Op Travel Management website which as far as I'm aware it has nothing to do with Fairways Property Services.

Well said Phil.  The promotion of this particular company and the persistent comments about them being the "only legally registered keyholders on Condado" is becoming rather tiresome and boring now - not to mention being potentially inaccurate and misleading.

Although I do not wish to speculate, one has to wonder whether people are being asked to make such postings by the company in order to discredit other hard working and well established keyholders. 

It has been said numerous times on this forum that there is more than sufficient work for a number of keyholders on Condado and it is personal choice and preference as to who individuals appoint to manage their properties.  I am sure that all keyholders are providing a good and reliable service and it is nice to provide positive comments when someone asks for recommendations.  However, I agree with Phil that this constant promotion and advertising of keyholder services via the forum, particularly of this particular company, is becoming something of a nonsense.

Like other forum members, I wish every keyholder the best of luck in their new lives at Condado but can we please stop this behaviour which as Phil says, has become totally transparent and underhand.

I can't disagree with any of that, except for just one point where you say 'one has to wonder whether people are being asked to make such postings'.

Of course I can only speak for our own experience, but as a client of this company we have never once been asked or encouraged to actively promote them on here or anywhere else for that matter, and I'd be very surprised if anyone else has. It was extemely unfair to both Rob and Joanne for you suggest they are behind this thread.

In fact in that one line you're guilty of exactly the exactly same kind of sweeping assumptions and 'muck spreading' that you're castigating the original poster for.

Apart from that I agree with your other sentiments 100%. The constant bickering on keyholder recommendation threads - from all sides it has to be said - is childish and tiresome.

Fair point George - I will accept my slap on the wrists for that one!  Apologies to Rob and Joanne if that is not the case .

However, if you read my post again, what I said was that "one has to wonder whether people are being asked to make these postings" - it does seem strange that all threads posted in recent weeks have  been along exactly the same lines - ie. the only legally registered keyholders on Condado.   That information must be coming from somewhere, unless it's just coincidence that a number of people have all suddenly decided to post the same message.   PGM also alluded to this type of activity in his posting - ie. using the forum for self promoting rather than paying to place an advert.   We saw exactly the same type of activity recently with regard to a certain removal man and air conditioning firms where people were clearly coming on to the forum and promoting certain individuals or firms.   

Perhaps Justin should insist that these postings are forbidden, unless and until someone specifically asks for a recommendation and then anyone who feels able to recommend a particular company or individual may do so at that point.

I think everyone on here should bear in mind when discussing keyholders and making derogatory remarks or assumptions about them that it's not just their reputation you're damaging, but also their livelyhood.

We've got to know Rob and Joanne very well over the last 6 months and they have always been very professional and fair in the way they go about their business. On top of that, and for me more importantly, they're good and honest people. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they are not behind any of the posts to keep referring to, and they can hardly be held responsible for what other people write on here.

Although my keyholder is Carol Miller - who does a great job - I have also had Rob do a bit of work on my apartment.  Both he and Joanne strike me as a very honest couple who simply put their heads down and get on with the job.  They really are not particularly involved with this forum and don't seem much fussed about tittle-tattle or what is going on outside their own business.  I would doubt very much if they are even aware of the first post from what I've seen of them.  Nice folk.
