Closure of Medsea Estates

Hi,

Has anyone else on this forum received an email like this? If so what are your thoughts and have you been in touch to pay this person the small fee of 150 euros' to carry on their own aftersales department.

I personaly feel this may be a scam, as who would ask for money without even sending out paperwork detailing their business and what guarantees does anybody have that this would be adhered to. Or will they just disapear into the night  after reaping 1500.00 euros in funds from 10 individuals whom this email was sent.

Please can anone shed some light on this for us.

I would like to inform you that Medsea Estates has ceased its Aftersales Department.
Due to this i have decided to carry on an aftersales service independantly. I worked for
Medsea Estates for over 8 years as team leader of Aftersales dealing with completions
which includes - Notories, Furniture shopping, N.I.E numbers, opening bank accounts and
anything else that makes the completion of you property run smoothly.
Due to the fact I have gone independant there would have to be a small fee of 150 Euros.
We will carry on doing property checks on your behalf and liasing with the builders.
Once we have informed you that your property is ready we would like two weeks notice of
your arrival so that we can make all the necessary arrangments for the completion.

Hello there,

We have purchased on M2 and also received this message, which we have ignored.  We were expecting an 'official' notice from someone at Medsea called Marie, after 22nd April when the closure was supposed to be official, but no news from anyone we have been dealing with from Medsea in the past.

I have to say that in addition to never having heard of the author of that e-mail, we had no intentions of paying anyone else for assisting our completion. Besidses, the service she appears to be offering - NIE, furniture, notaries, ban accounts etc. we already have, so we don't intend to part with any more cash other than to the builders/solicitors upon completion. We are now dealing with them direct - Gema Perez (the new site manager) is very good, and has also bought a house on M4, so it is in her best interest to keep on top of the development so to speak.

We visited at Easter, and Gema also told us to expect completion around the end of September for M2. By this time, M4 & M1 should already have moved in.

Hi,

This is not a scam. As you can see by the Medsea Website, they have changed name and Directors have resigned, check the RNS announcements page for clarification. I doubt if you will get any service from them.

I personally know Lindsey, and the service she is offering is second to none. If you have followed various threads re Medsea you will realise that the staff had not been paid since 2008 and are now owed thousands of Euros. What Lindsey is propossing is to continue the Aftersales service that she was pasionate about during her 8 years with Medsea and provide the client with a quality service.
