Just a note to anyone that wants to avoid the credit card fees on Ryanair. Apologies if this has been pposted already.

I use Entropay (entropay_dot_com)
, it's a virtual debit card that you can use online. If you sign up for a GBP account your virtual card is a VISA ELECTRON. All you then have to do is transfer funds from your own credit card or bank account and use the virtual card on Ryanair. The transfer is instant ie. you can use the transferred funds within about 20 seconds.
There is a fee to transfer money onto the card (about 4% I think), but it's handy for the cheaper flights you get on the sales, especially a few are travelling.

Just remember if you use it to enter "Entropay User" as your credit card name, it confused me the first time.

I've used it 3 times so far and haven't had any problems.

Cheers

Hi Andy

Yes I have a visa electron & always pay for fligts with Ryan A with it.

Our friends have booked with R A for the same flight as ourselves . I did offer to use my card but they chose to use their own . it cost them an extra £10.00 each. not sure if that was each way or each journey either way their flight has now worked out a lot more expensive than ours

Its a great tip.

Jan

As the charges are on the up and up and a lot of us Ryan Air I wondered who is aware of the 'post office travel money card.'

It is a prepaid ELECTRON, meaning no fees with Ryan Air.

Trusted company, in your hand rather than virtual.

Small charge to put money on, but I think big savings to be made in comparison to paying Ryan Air charges.

All on the post office web site or pick up a leaflet in the post office.

Tara

I have my Spanish account with halifax.es - this has an electron card, and I have used that to pay for Ryan Air flights, again, no charge, there is no charge from the bank either, and ex rate was reasonable.
