Hi all

i was just wondering if i bought a new TV in England would it be possible to use it in Spain?

I appreciate like any UK appliance an adaptor would be required, but would it then work.  Has anybody else happened to have tried?

Thanks anyone for their feedback

Many thanks

great news, thanks

Sorry to confirm, your tv has an English 3 pin 240v, 13amp fuse, you plug that into a spanish 110v adaptor , plug it in and it works? The world as we know it doesnt end, lol

Thanks again in advance

Dean,

Spain ain't on 110v that's the US.  It, and the UK are on 220, you just need a ywo pin convertor or do as I did and cut the UK one off and stick a Spanish one on.

Just be aware that any electrical item purchased in the uk looses any guarantee rights once it is taken out of the country.

We have bought all our electrical items from Spain as we found them a lot cheeper. Inc the flat screen TV & they have spanish guarantees (Just in case)

Hi Jan,

Where thinking of getting a tv for the kids and was going to bring one out but you are spot on regarding the guarentee.

When Iwe was looking at electrical items in general we found them to be a lot more expensive. Where did you buy your TV from in spain?

Thanks Simon

We bought our TV in Carre FOur.  Its an OKI - which i admit I had never heard of but it was under 300 euros for a 32 inch tv.  Its excellent, has english onscreen instructions and gets the digital channels.  Although most of them are in spanish, the DIsney Channel kept my neice occupied recently when it rained.

Well worth the money - it's on their website if you want to have a look at the spec.  We got ours at Carre four in Cartagena.
