Hi

We're going out to finally stay in our apartment next week.  Hooray!  However as we're only there for three nights I was planning to use the alicante flight which leaves Liverpool at 6am (yes 6am?!!!) and return from San Javier which is a tea time flight to maximise our time there.

Is it much further to Condado from Alicante though and have we got an equivalent fools guide driving directions that we have from San Javier?

Answers quick cos I need to book the flights

Tan

Hi Tan

Sorry not got the directions on me but we found Alicante just as easy as San Javier. We did it in just over an hour and it's motorway all the way so very easy - so I'd get booking those flights if I were you!! I'm sure someone will be able to give you the directions...

It sounds a good idea, both airports are easy to get  to and the extra day in the heat is well worth it. There are many threads detailing directions to and from airports, if you take a quick look you'll easily find them.  I hope you enjoy your trip. Geoff.

Hi Tan

DIRECTIONS FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT TO CONDADO

Head on A7 to Murcia then after Murcia( big yellow islamic sign) this becomes A7 to Almeria and Grenada.

Turn off at Junction 627B - Mazarron RM2.

Turn off the RM2 at Jnc 4 - Mazarron RM23.

Condado is Jnc 7 on RM23.

DIRECTIONS FROM CONDADO TO ALICANTE AIRPORT

From Condado the simplest and fastest route is; Out from Condado, turn north on RM 23 towards Alhama de Murcia.

After 4 kilometers, turn north on RM2 towards Alhame de Murcia.

After another 4 kilomters turn right towards Murcia on A7/E-15. Just stay on this road for about 95 km and there is a sign for the airport. It is appr. 3 kilometers from the motorway to the airport.

We have used both many times over the last year and before we had the apartment- from Liverpool John Lennon with Easyjet to  Alicante is better than Ryanair to San Javier, more economical and just about 10 minutes longer which you barely notice. We have flown around 6am, arrive mid morning and been unpacked and with a glass of vino in hand by lunch time. Plus a late evening flight home give you a relaxed leaving day.
