To fellow residents of the above resort.  Ihave asked customer services why we cannot get any Irish tv channels and they have just sais its just not possible. They are getting them in Camposol and the other Polaris World Resorts. What I am asking for is for other residents to contact customer services and ask for them as well. Before anybody says this is just an Irish complaint, with these channls you will get Champions league matches both Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Heinekan rugby matches plus Intenational matches both football and rugby. Thats just part of the sports packages plus a lot more. In this way you do not need SKY, which will cost a lot more. Its in all our interest. I would ask Irish people especially not to sign up until they get RTE 1, 2,3 and TG 4. Looking for a good response.

I emailed them toget an option on their plans, it looks as if RTE is not on the list. I do have a problem with their basic TV package which is on cable as not one International News channel is on this system which is strange as these news channels are free to air. They could at least put BBC world on the cable network for people who don´t want the sat box!

The TV package does have BBC World news plus others and we did have Sky News but not at the moment.

Has anyone got any news about the tv offered from Polais. What are their plans? Do tey intend to add more channels to the list. If so, what is in the pipeline?

Sorry, I wasn´t clear, I was talking about the 40 odd channels on the basic cable connection which are all in spainish. Their is no reason why they can´t put at least one if not two! international english news channel on this system without the need to get a 400 euro box. All these new channels are "free to air" and easily available. I hope this is clear.

The 40 digital channels that you are getting are the standard TDT, spanish Freeview, channels.  All the FTA satellite channels are currently only available if you get the cable box as Polaris Telecom are retransmitted them over DVB-C.  The direct satellite feed that is available on the other resorts is not currently (if ever ) available at Condado.

also anyone know if you still get a premier league match on saturday/sunday  afternoon,(on spanish tv) we did the last time we were out, and it would be nice to see a game from the last day of the season,preferably SAFC V CFC, as we are out from thursday.

we're just back and my footie addict partner watched games man u game on saturday and think there was one on on sunday as well but I was too busy outside to actually notice!

I watched two PL games on cable in our apartment earlier this month; Everton-Spurs at 16.00 on Saturday (TVE 1) and ManU-ManC at 1700 on Sunday (Teledeporte).

 There are a couple of Dutch sports channels too I see, maybe PW 400 Euros might be worth a try........ Geoff.

 Does anybody know if there are any premier matches on the PW satellite box this Sunday and which channel the Champions League final is on (if at all) on Wednesday night and is it too much to ask if there is any channel showing the F.A. cup Final next Saturday please? Thanks for your help. Geoff.

think the FAC Final is still free to air so it should show on either ITV or BBC - see the list below for the channel. Not so sure about CL Final.  Be sure to tune in for a famous victory for the Toffees !

They do not call it the F.A. Cup Final in Spain, if you flick through the tv listings I think it is titled "the muppet show" this year.
