Recommended beaches for kids!

Hi when we were exploring we found a gorgeous beach that is really shallow and doesnt seem to have a sudden drop off like many of the beaches around Puerto De Mazarron and Bolnuevo. It is in La Azohia - go through Puerto De Mazarron and follow signs for La Isla then La Azohia - its another 10 min drive from the port but really is good for kids. However there are not many other facilities there except a shop/cafe.

When we were over in April with my 8 year old neice we use a small beach in the port, if you head to Bol Neuvo then at the roundabout go to the port.  Keep going into town, you'll go over another roundabout.  If you look down to your right you'll see the beach at the bottom of the road. 

There are some parking spaces that are right at the beach handy when you have all the beach stuff with you, or you can park on the main road.  We did find the waves got a bit stronger later in the afternoon but it was shallow and not rocky.

There's a nice beach just up from the port in mazarron at Rihuete, also a couple of good places fro lunch,

I would have to recommend Los Alcazares , near the airport . Its on the Mar Menor , so the water is warmer , and perfect for children 4 to 5.

Our 5 year old was with us , last year , and it remains shallow for 100 yards or so , no waves , plenty of parking , and some nice beach huts for lunch.

Perfect !! Head for Hotel Narejos.
