Hi all.  Can anyone tell me what is happening with the Mar Y Sol development.  When we paid our deposit 1half years ago there was to be 5 separate blocks with 3 swimming pools - one in between blocks 1 and 2, one on the roof of block 3 or 4 and one between blocks 4 and 5.  From the photos and visiting the development it is now one joined up block of apartments.  With regard to the roof pool can anyone tell me how big the pool is as there will be a lot of apartments using it.  Also will the roof area be safe for children (how high are the barriers/walled area) as we have a 1yr old child.  Thanks for any information you may have.

There is a small pool between block 1 and the bungalows, a further pool on the roof of blocks 3 & 4 and I guess possibly one at the end of block 5, but I am not sure about this.  As for size, take a look at some of the excellent photographs submitted in the "shared photos" area.  The pools are generally pretty small and clearly not intended for the serious swimmer, but for the occasional splash look OK.  There are also photographs of the roof showing the walls to be about 1m high.

Hi JackieP

I think it is a case of too many cooks /selling agents all with a different tale, and the fact that the builder has never had a rep on site in the showhouse to tell you anything or show you a site plan. I have noticed that they have now employed golf invest to sell for them, and are based on the site.

roof pool size  about 29ft x 13ft        72 apartments

ground pool  about  33ftx15ft  with childrens section   61 apartments and 32 bungalows/apartments

boundry walls about  40 inches high

uk legal height           47 inches or 1200mm

I don't want to stir things up without a good reason, but some people in the 32 bungalows reckon the pool adjacent to block 1 is soley for their use.  For our part we were told the day we bought that the pool would also be for our use and we will be in block 1.  Apparently keys have been issued.

The builder clearly tells people what they want to hear and if this is true it will mean that we effectively have no access to a nearby pool!

Hi

I wouldn't worry to much about keys i am sure the builder will have more in his draw.
