Is the Clover Bar Open?

I've checked Terry & Jills web site which explains why it didn't happen yesterday but nothing has been posted today

I'm hoping they are enjoying it at this very minute and are too pished to update the website or post a thread

Fingers crossed as we are due to arrive tomorrow night

Hi Graham,

If it is open, Terry & Jill will be there making the most of opening night and as it's supposed to stay open until 2am I wouldn't expect an update tonight.   So I guess no news is good news.

Went up to the supermarket at 6pm and they were hoping to open the Clover at 6.30 tonight.

Loads of furniture has been delivered for the outside but they still had the plastic on.

Its going to look good.

Yes, it;s open at last!!! My daughter's there at the moment and informs me that there are a lot of smiling happy faces around the Clover. Bet they're not all smiling in the morning with their hangovers!!! God i'm so jealous

My pal Viv has just called me from the Clover.  She says it's gorgeous and that they have put really nice rattan outside furniture in place (not that white plastic junk like the surgery).  She says it's mobbed tonight.  Apparently there is also plenty of 'eye candy' in the form of the 2 new barmen and 'not a Hubert in sight' as she put it.  Spirits a bit pricey but she says they have poured huge measures so really probably no dearer than UK prices.  Roll on October when I get there next.....................

Feel a thirst coming on........... for the next two weeks.

We went to the Clover on opening night and it was really impressive. The atmosphere was excellent, inside they have music playing and large screens while outside they have the really nice (an very comfortable) ratan furniture it really looks 5star! It was lovely sitting outside overlooking the large pool and all the walls and palm trees illuminated..fantastic! I do not think anyone will be disappointed, we just can't wait to get back out there in September whne hopefully they will have the entertainment on, like in the other Clover bars.

We've heard that the clover bar and also the supermarket are pretty expensive.

Is this true..?

it bloody is................   €26 for 2 pints 2 halfs and 3 diet cokes

supermarket   €4.50 for 4 peaches      6 in consum for €1.31

Is it that expensive? a pint is €3.50 so I guess a half is say €2 surely a coke is not €5.00

Bet those pints were not local Lager, maybe Guiness or something more expensive than the standard 3.50 euro pint! Prices are standard throughout polaris. Same price as surgery or the Clovers on other resorts.

With a discount card and getting say 1.10 to the pound a pint is just £2.86. I dont think thats unreasonible. Local wine is only 2.50 euros too, this works out at £2.04(with the discount card). So a round for me and my girl is less than a fiver! I pay more in Bolton!

Prices in the PW bars are rediculous.... I was paying Eur.9-50 for a bottle of Bud and a Vodka & Tonic in La Torre a couple of weeks back.

What's this about the card not being accepted Dan ? The last we were told was that our card was good until the end of 2009 before this hotel linked one takes over. I was using mine at Condado & La Torre without any problems a week ago ??????

Perhaps all card holders should email Polaris customer services and ask them to explain why the cards are not being accepted at CdA.

Even the Clubhotel card, I just paid 140 Euros for mine, they assured me a discount in the Clover. I will send an email to Clubhotel to ensure that the Clover are aware before I arrive in a Fortnight.

If not I will be requesting a refund!

Here they go again. They sure know how to alienate their customer base.  After the euphoria of the long awaited opening, they will soon start to p*** off their customers with tacticts like this. You have to wonder if they will ever learn any buisness acumen. Those people who have bought the Clubhotel cards are going to be up in arms I am sure.

I am hoping this is just a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing AGAIN and they get it sorted sharpish.
