La Torre to host Davis Cup Semi Final

Hi All,

I got an email yesterday to say that PW La Torre will be hosting the Davis Cup semi final between Spain & Israel in September.

This should help to raise the overall PW profile and will hopefully be a stepping stone towards Condado hosting a European Tour Golf Tournament in the future.

Ray Clemece, the former Liverpool & England goalkeeper is hosting a celebrity golf classic on behalf of the Sparks Charity (Childrens Medical Research) at PW Mar Menor on the 21st - 25th September.

All these types of events are very good for the profile of PW and the resorts in general.

I can confirm that the Ray Clemence Celebrity Golf Tournament is being held as follows:

Tuesday 22nd September - Practice Day - La Torre

Wednesday 23rd September - 1st Days Play - El Valle

Thursday 24th September - 2nd Days Play - La Torre

Thursday 24th September (Evening) - Gala Dinner, La Torre

No mention whatsoever of the Mar Menor GR

Maybe Clemence just got his resorts mixed up then as it was him who specifically said PW Mar Menor when being interviewed on the radio a couple of weeks back.

Hmmmm - maybe he did.

Defo El Valle/La Torre, though.

Makes sense.... At least those places are up and running. I did think at the time that Mar Menor was a strange place to have such an event as it is (or was) only a nine hole course and La Torre has the infrastructure to keep people entertained at least.
