Non Resident income tax‏

Hi,

I heard from my solicitor that those of us who bought in 2008 or before must present a Non Resident Income tax form before December this year. Those who had bought in 2009 are not liable until December 2009. The fees are 100 euros per person, if there is more than one owner of the property.

Has anyone got anymore info on this or have been contacted by their solicitor?

I think that your post should read that anyone who has purchased in 2009 does not have to pay their Non Residents Income Tax until December 2010.

Don't necessarily assume that you will be contacted by your solicitor. Also, you do not have to use a solicitor to do this, you can complete the forms & pay it yourself.

Can anyone tell me where the nearest tax office is to Condado - apparently we need to go there with our NIE number and passport to register for tax before we can actually pay it ?

I am informed by Spanish tax forms Ltd that the nearest one is Lorca. I have got them to process ours and they will do the registration for you for a tenner. Probably cost you as much in petrol and you don't have the hassle of trying to find it.
