Dare I ask what the food and prices are like?

Restaurant was fairly quite.

The Food is very good,

Very good menu with something for everyone.

The service was very good,

The prices are a little high, but thats compared to the poor £/€ exchange rate, my mini pension and camposol prices, Also where you come from?

Everyone must try it and make their own judgement.

Sorry to say with the formality of the tables and the clothes, I would have expected to see this style in the likes of a holiday camp such as Butlins,  this does not emulate a five star resort.  Heres hoping the food can make up for the decor.

Totally agree with your comments about the furnishings in the restaurant.  Wooden tables and chairs and hideous gingham table cloths are certainly not what I expected to see in the restaurants on Condado!  Gingham table cloths are offensive in any setting, not just a 5* golf resort!

This restaurant is certainly a far cry from the quality of the furnishings etc in the restaurants on other PW resorts. 

Are there any photos of the other restaurant?  Hopefully that might be a little more tastefully equipped.

Its decked out exactaly the same as the Acacia restaurant in La Torre, just like all Clovers are decked out in a similar style.

Wrong thread with that comment, black and white is more tasteful than red and white, but just my thoughts.

The Italian in La Torre has green and white gingham check table cloths I think, which granted looks a bit better. Can't wait to visit the restaurant next time we're over, hopefully it'll look stunning in the flesh and the Calzone will be delish!

It's the people that make the resort though and the food that'll make the restaurant.

I got an e-mail from a guy in Denmark yesterday asking if I had the number of the restaurants as they'd charged his credit card 3 times for a bill in the Limoera on Sunday night. Presumably it was a genuine mistake caused by teething problems with their card payment machines, but something to be aware of.

Wasnt quite as up market as we thought it would look but, from the pictures, we quite liked the rustic charm.

Is this two restaurants in one or is there another to open yet- some confusion in the info we have had?

It is actually two restaurants in one. With a joint Menu so you can sit antwhere and order anything on the Menu.

The 'triple charging' reported by the guy from Denmark might not be the fault of the restaurant. Last week, a work colleague of mine was charged 3 times for a single item he bought using a John Lewis chargecard - very often these things are down to problems at the bank, and nothing to do with the retailer at all

Just back from a flying weekend visit to Condado.  Went to the resturant on Saturday night with Terry&Jill and have to say that we had a great night, excellent food and service and the price was good too.  Enjoyed it so much we went back for Sunday lunch, which was also excellent.   It was busy on both occasions and for me the really good thing to see was that on Sunday lunch time there were a number of large family groups all tucking into enormous dishes of Paella that looked great.  

Quick plug -  If you haven't got a discount card, get one ;-).  With the new card you get 50% off a meal for two, which means you can get a good meal for €10 each!!  We have the old card so only got a 15% discount, so will be appling for a new one today.   Ok so the card is €145, but that's only 7 meals out in a year to get your money back , no problem for me  

Also, for those of you that don't like the Red/White table clothes, you'll be glad to hear that there are also nice green ones.  So you now have a choice

Nice to hear the food & service was good Phil.

Is it just me, or does it look to be a bit bare and featureless in there ?? I seem to remember La Torre restaurants being a bit more 'warm' looking.

Yes, we discussed this on Saturday night, Polaris have gone for a very minimalist decor which, for me, is a bit stark.  The place could definately benefit from a few large 'feature' plants scattered around the place and perhaps some nice pictures on the walls

But. personnally I can live with the decor I'm just happy that it's open, the food is excellent, the service is great and the prices are reasonable.  Like I say if you have a club card then over the 12 months I'm sure you will more than get your monies worth, it's a lot easier to just wander over to Al Kasar than have to drive off the resort.  Sunday lunch cost us €20, with a beer and coffee, so when th card arrives that'll be around €10, happy days - might even tempt be off the all-day breakfast in Mazarron

agree with you PTAN. Had meal there on Friday - two mains, bottle wine and one dessert, came to 53 euro but with the discount card was 38 euro - I think that was OK . It's great the place was open and I'm really enjoying seeing the various facilities coming on stream.

Played El Valle as well and that was a real treat and just can't wait to get on our own course as I think it will be even better !
