Property Management

Hi,

We too have an apartment in PortoFino and can very highly recommend Almerimar Property Management.

They have taken over Charmaine's business at Design by Jarvis.  Charmaine did an excellent job and we were a little aprehensive when we heard that someone else was taking over.

Carol and her husband Stuart are now running the property managing side of the business and I can only say that they are second to none. They are so obliging, caring and very professional with everything that they do.

They go out of their way to not only please you but have your guests interest at heart too.

We have had a busy first year with our rentals and have had absolutely everything taken care of and have not had to worry that our guests are in safe hands should any problems arise.

We had a month booking going into our apartment this week and APR  discovered that we had major problems with the electrcity in our apartment  tripping all the time.

APR have relentlessly harassed Proindal into getting the electricty checked and for those who have experienced trying to get workmen back when problems arise will know what a nightmare this can be.

It's ended up being an absolute disaster as the apartment is now uninhabitable as there's no electricity and the apartment is'nt safe as water has entered into the elecrical box via the roof terrace.

Our guests were met by APR and they had arranged for them to go into another apartment that evening, they then showed them numerous apartments and helped them to move into their chosen one as well.

Carol & Stuart from APR have constantly telephoned us, liased with Proindal and have also kept a check that the workmen are rectifying the problems to the correct standard.

We honestly do not know what we would have done without their fantastic support, genuine caring and all time that they have given to not just us but our guests as well.

It has materialised that the recent heavy rains have caused problems in numerous penthouse apartments in PortoFino, as the membrane under the top terrace is failing and allowing water to enter the cavities causing damp walls and water entering the electrical sockets.

Our apartment is now unrentable as we have had to have the tiles near the top terrace door removed and a new membrane fitted.

We are now awaiting the work to be completed and are hoping that it isn't going to drag on as we have other renters due.

We are rest assured that APR will do their otmost on our behalf.

They also do airport pick ups for any guests that do not want to hire a car.

We honestly dont think you could get a better service than the one they offer!!!!

I have received phonecalls fron Andulucia property management regarding rental on our PortoFino apartment but they are far more expensive and are widely  based so dont think they can offer that personal touch that small family run one's do.

Hope you are well ?  how'd you mange to get a rental for Jan?  With Holiday Lettings I get most of summer but struggle in the winter time.   Any tips appreciated

it looks from this thread you would work for 'Andulucia property management'  as with only 3 posts you have A started this thread and B recommended that company twice.  Sorry but I am very suspicious on this forum as we get a lot of people 'suddenly recommending' company.  Feel free to recommend a company to make people aware but its very poor if you do work for them and are just trying to trick people....

Hope you are well too.

Have to say that the winter lets we've achieved have all come from the Owner's Direct website and have been elderly couples wanting monthly winter lets.

You only have to achieve one let and you've recouped your fees back so definately try it.

We also get a good response from this site for the summer months too!!!

Have my doubts re the earlier posts too!!!  Feel that I fell straight into the plot.....My recommend is a genuine appreciation for all Almerimar Property Management have done for us the last year.

Another really reliable  company to try for property management in Almerimar is Chill Out. It is a family run business that does very little advertising and relies mostly on word of mouth and recommendation. If you need any further information, send me a PM. 

I have heard of chill out and the reports where not always great I'm afraid!  Just a word of warning!

I can´t vouch for everyone but they certainly did an exceptional job for us and we would recommend them. We´ve also spoken to a few other people who have used them and they have said the same. But you can´t please everyone all of the time. It´s hard enough to earn a living over here and I would not like to think that they would get a bad name because of what may have been an isolated incident.

Out of interest do you work for them?  you have made 3 post on the site... 1 to recommend them, 1 to advertise some furniture for them and one to defend them.  Sounds a bit suspicous to me....

Not true aandl but free feel to trust anyone who happens to post info on this site.  We have been conned before and I am trying point out to people anything suspicous.  If you don't what to heed that fine!  There are many on this site who have asked me for advice and I hope trust my opinion;  perhaps you would prefer if people didnt give their opinion...

I am new to EOS as you can see by the amount of posts that I have made.

Rab - If I had your suspicious mind I would think the same about you. You do nothing but slag people off and have nothing positive to say about anybody or anything. I am sure that people appreciate different opinions but yours are always the same, negative. If you can´t give a positive response now and again I can´t see that your opinion has any credibility at all. I am sorry that you have been conned in the past, as many other people have been, but I think its a bit unfair to tar everybody with the same brush.

aandl - I am glad to see that I am not the only one that thinks this.

You would think the same of me? Please quantify that statement?  How have I promoted any individual company on this site?  Or tried to con anyone?  If you are going to make sweeping statements please back it up with some proof!

After some complaints I have decided to set the record straight here.

I am totally against any sort of decipt towards the users of this site.  Going by their email address, Trish57 DOES appear to work for Chill Out.  It seems rabc77 was correct.

I trust we won't see a repeat of this charade.

After following this thread I decided to send a pm to trish asking for contact details for Chill out. All I got back was a hotmail email address. Didn't inspire me with any confidence in the organisation or the authenticity of the recommender.
