Hi There
looking for some advice on buying Spanish mobile. Which service gives best reception on CDA and best call rates Spanish to Spanish and Spanish to Uk.

Cheapest way to ring UK is to take an unlocked phone to Spain and buy a SIM card at Best wishes on Camposol. They are 20 euros and include 20 euros credit. They last 3 months.

We bought a mobile phone in the Movistar shop (pay as you go) and have had no problems with reception. We top it up in the small newsagent at Mazarron or in the supermarket at Camposol.

As suggested by Mark (onecall) take an open mobile from UK as this I think is a cheaper way to get a Mobile phone, probably buy a cheap pay as you go phone from carphone warehouse, but make sure it is open (Not dedicated to one provider).
Then again buy a sim from card shop as suggested by Mark or from the internet cafe next to Irish bar in Camposol. I recommend Hits Mobile You can have a look at their charges at www.hitsmobile.es

We have used Hits since they started because Movistar moved the goalposts on our contract and effectively doubled our bills.
We have had no problems and they seem to have the cheapest charges - loads cheaper then movistar and vodaphone on PAY or contract.
