CAM Bank on Camposol closing at the end of the month

The CAM Bank based on Camposol Sector B is closing at the end of the month. Their other branches in Mazarron & Puerto de Mazarron are staying open, so I imagine accounts will be transferred to one of their other branches.

Bummer, I was going to transfer my account there

I contacted my branch only 2-3 days ago asking about transferring my account to Camposol.  As I was told I could use all the services I needed at that branch without switching I didn't follow it up.

Would not have been happy if I had switched and then had to switch back.

Was no mention of it closing in the e-mail reply I got...but wouldn't really expect it

As you say, you can do most things in any branch.  The only reason I had was for card renewals.  When your card expires they send the replacement to your branch, which for me meant a trip down to Vera, ok not a problem as it was a good excuse of lunch , so I thought I's switch to make that easier.    If your card does expire then you can arrange for the new card to be sent to another branch.  BUT, only after it has been posted to the branch where the account is held.  it also takes 5 days,.

One good thing about CAM is that with our joint account my wifes card expires 6 months after mine, so at least we had one working card whilst we waited for my new one.

Perhaps I sould wait for a branch to open in Al Kasar

As I don't have a card they probably were right in telling me there wasn't any real advantage to moving branches.

Met Paul at simply network meetings he is English and manager of Bankinter on Camposol Staff speak English . He would be happy for anyone to open accounts there.
