Hi

Just got back from driving to Condado. We took ptan's route home but rather than going to Valencia we went straight up to Madrid - no toll on this road. Most tolls were in France and fuel is more in France averaging about 1.21 per litre - not gallon and about 1.08 in Spain - this is diesel not petrol. We made the mistake of trying to drive at night - my advice would be not to do this - roads didn't appear to have any cats eyes and markings were bad. We drove down via Paris, Orleans and then onto Perpignan and a stay in Barcelona but Phil's route is a much nicer route and better for the driver. On the way home we paid 177euros for fuel and tolls were 63.60 E- biggest tolls were Tours - Rouen 26.50E and Bordeaux to Tours 30.10E. Our first toll was in Madrid 1.85E. If you have any other questions let me know.

Carla
