Terrazas de la torre

i am Interested looking at possible investment at this resort.

would love to know the good and bad points of this resort and what facilities are on site or due to come and when?

how close to la torre and are you allowed access into la torre

do the appartments have air con and fridges as originaly stated in the adverts?

anyone who could advise who has bought on site are you happy or unhappy with your investment

Plus points:

Overall very happy

Very quiet resort well managed by Resortalia

Very close to La Torre, but you need transport to get there

Entertainment/ TV is free, once you pay Polaris around Euro 150 for a decoder

Minus points:

No facilities apart from a supermarket that opens when it feels like it

Promise of a golf course that I am sure one day will be opened

Many of the appartments are unoccupied so there is a risk if one of the investors defaults on its community fees we would have to pick up the bill

No aircon or any white goods supplied

Appartments small for their cost, although they are adequate

Communications from Polaris very poor, but to be fair, they only have two customer service staff now and part of their job is to wash the Polaris managements' BMWs and Lexas cars parked outside the Polaris offices.

we have been on the resort for over a yr now & are very happy with the o/a vision which is slowly comming around, Apartments are not massive but are well adequate for our needs & most have large terraces, pools are very good & the golf course when it opens will be fantastic, now that PW have sorted out their debt, things are moving forward at a good pace on the town centre now & the rest of the developement, like everything in spain things move slowly, but when the builders put there minds to it they go great guns & we hope that facilities will be available such as bars & restaurants later this yr.

With regards to the air con, if you read carefully, you will notice that it states that air con fittings are in place but the units need to be bought by yourself & white goods have never been included in prices unless pre=ordered, depending on what you are realisticly able to wait to get the facilitys is personal but all i can say is that if you do not mind waiting 6mths or so for things to be opened this i feel & i have stayed on all the resorts which all have there own unique features that las terrazas will be up there with the best of them, if you require any further info do not hesitate to ask

Having bought last November and been out about 5 times since, i have to say I am VERY impressed.  Yes, the town centre is not opened yet and nor is the golf course, although at least 9 holes are ready to play on.  However, the resort still shows much more promise than Condado De Alhama for instance, which has bitten off more than it can chew.  It also appears that since Polaris's troubles, most of the Condado plans have been shelved and construction has ground to a halt, however at Terrazas, construction continues at a great pace.

The areas which are finished and lived in, Phase 1, and soon to be the second phase which is the penthouse style apartments are fantastic, well kept and once you are on your own terrace, you have no idea that the rest of the resort it still a building site.

Resortalia are managing the place extremely well and all the resort staff are very helpful and friendly.  So the small temporary supermarket only opens for a few hours a day Mon - Fri - just now, but La Torre is only a 2 minute drive or 15 minute cycle away, as is Roldan and Balsicas.

Remember, this resort was always a long term plan and so far, for us, it has more than fulfilled that potential, with much work still ongoing to complete the services - don;t expect them tomorrow, but when they are finished, I think your investment will be more than safe and you, and all the other risk takers who bought on this resort will be more than delighted with the final result.

We originally bought off plan at Condado but soon realised that our investment may not be safe and switched to Terrazas and are more than satisfied with our purchase.

i am currently a happy and disgruntled owner on Condado

we have one built and one not

an offer is on the table for Terrazas so i am keeping my options open. is it possible one of you could send me some of the original plans via e-mail?

i know La torre quite well and an apeal is if the facilities on this resort can be used then thats a big plus.

I am delighted with my investment on Terrazas.  I love the whole area around Mar Menor with its lovely beaches and simple cafes and bars, the fact that it is not over commercialized (yet) and its ease of access to Murcia,Cartagena, airports etc. 

Our apartment on Phase 1 has exceeded all expectations so far, and if you can see past the cranes and ongoing building work at the moment, it is a little piece of heaven.

Hopefully some day in the near future we will have a golf course to play on and eventually a town centre with shops and facilities but due to the resort location, car hire is a pre requisite in any case so it is not too much trouble to have to drive to find some nice places to eat, drink and relax.

Roldan and Balsicas nearby have some lovely little bars and restaurants and there are the larger industrial type places to eat in Balsicas which also do carry out meals.

My favourite place is sitting on my own terrace watching the world go by.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Terrazas de la Torre for your investment.
